There's still no guarantee we won't learn more about Jesus in JJL though. We didn't learn about the origins of the Arrows in the Part they were introduced in so it might be the same for SBR/JJL. I'm pretty sure that Araki isn't some helpless button who sat there and sobbed while evil Shueisha racebended his character into being black against his will. There were any number of times he could've spoken up about it, and he never did. And Pucci is visibly black in figures, games etc too.

Araki tends to color black characters extremely pale, look at Avdol here. Doesn't mean he's white, even though the white characters are coloured pretty much the same as him. And while the backstory of Pucci and Wes involved some weird race shit, the thing that enraged them was a supposedly black guy being in a relationship with a white girl rather than just Wes being supposedly black.

If by "Latest" you mean Part 8, then yes. He could be somehow related to the Rock Humans and fit in rather nicely that way.

His abilities are pretty stand-like, he's very similar to Yellow Temperance for instance. I could see him being a minor villain that way.

But overall he'd probably feel a bit out of place, the series largely moved away from inhuman creatures as enemies. While Jojolion has the Rock Humans, they're a lot more human than the Pillar-Men were, they're easily able to pass as normal humans and sometimes have done so for years.

While he has recyled the pillar men concept into something new, I think we won't see Santana as the main villain. Consider the whole hibernation thing as a new element, also they don't seem as op as the super mayan(pilliar men before putting on the stone mask) race. I mean humans didn't worship them out of fear. They seem to be pushed to the fringes of society thanks to expansion of human cities.

It will probably be a rockman we haven't even meet before, with some new objective that is "for others" like Pucci and Valentine.

SBR wasn't originally JoJo because the weekly magazine wanted Araki to do something fresh. It started off as its own thing. It only became JoJo Part 7 when he switched over to the monthly magazine, so when introducing Stands he had to make it something that was already present in the story. It may have turned out different if it were JoJo from the very beginning.

Pretty much all of Dio's issues revolved around his daddy problems, still doesn't justify at all why he'd want to rule the world nor does it give him any dimension. If Dio was like Stone Ocean Dio right from the beginning he might have been interesting, and Phantom Blood Dio was decent enough but it was all pretty much thrown away with part 3 Dio. The other villains who actually had ties with the protagonists in the rest of the parts executed them much better.

Dio's goals are still "I am bad guy, must rule world and be best". It's just Araki gave some depth to him getting to that state of mind. Which is neat. Dio's ultimate goals still let down his character as villain though.

Pucci's the best villain in the series in my opinion, he has a pretty damn good goal that's justified fully by his own story and he actually had a really good dynamic with Jolyne, he felt like a Joestar himself with how much determination he had to carry his goal in part 6 and it was good enough to rival Jolyne's own determination.

Pucci and valentine seem interesting because as villains they are fighting for others, which sets them apart from a lot of major villains.

Kira's an interesting villain for how toned-down he is in comparison to the others, and how well he works as part 4's antagonist. He's got brilliant characterization overall too.

But I agree, Pucci genuinely feels like the most villain-like character in the series. He actively pursues his goals, whenever he shows up shit ALWAYS goes down and I absolutely love how he's the type of evil that doesn't acknowledge he's evil or enjoys the thought. Valentine as well was a really good villain, being pretty much the only villain who you could justify had a better cause than the protagonist did. I like to think part 6 was when Araki's writing started to develop greatly.

Though it does beg the question, how might the part 8 villain be like?

Either way all my complaining went when they added that fucking beautiful shot of Killer Queen with the skull face. And they've nailed everything else so far, the bomb effects, the distortion sounds for when killer Queen shows up, etc.

Literally the only complaint I have is the eye color but even then that's not too big. I'm just happy to see Killer Queen animated, and these last 2 episodes have been god-tier.
