I finally figured out why I liked Madara so much -- it's because he destroyed everything I hate about what Naruto had become. All this needless angst and drama, the wildly bloated cast of characters I couldn't give less of a fuck about. He just came in and wrecked everyone and everything effortlessly, and most importantly, he looked like he was having a GREAT time doing so. There was even those goofy panels where he tries to provoke Hashirama into fighting with a rabid smile, then Hashirama says "hold up bro gimme a minute" and Madara's face freezes. Even though we got all this dramatic history between them, it was treated like a comedy bit. He just added so much fun to the arc which I had given up on.

This is gonna sound fucking bizarre and out of place, but does anyone get a weird feeling of dread when listening to OPs/EDs?

I get this feeling sometimes, I don't know how to describe it, but it's like this weird nostalgic despair. It's seriously reminiscent of a small dose of legitimate grief. All sorts of things can trigger this feeling for me, but I find that anime OPs/EDs from series I've watched do it more so than any other sort of media.

Anyone get anything similar? My theory is that I'm subconsciously lamenting the end of a series; a song triggers nostalgia, which comes with the realization that I'll never watch a series for the first time again. Something like that, at least.
