Only reason I've even heard of this show is because of all the top quality horse doujins featuring the twintails girl.

I'm pretty sure writers were satisfied with the first season ending, hence no chance for a sequel.
That spin-off novel also didn't continue it and just added some side stories.

Great show, though. Shame not many people watched it.
