The biggest problem is that the visuals are too different. It's not realistic that their clothes are so completely different, and the locations they go to. I guess it could have some artistic value, in telling us that even big differences are worthless, while also teaching us about our own desperation for change that in the end is meaningless, but for the story itself, they are kinda problematic.
