To use a HxH term, is Black only strong because he's using Ko? Black's punch was caught fairly easily by Vegeta, and even when Black powered up, Vegeta couldn't be budged. Black caught Vegeta with his sword, which Black later transformed back into his aura. In HxH, nen can be concentrated into one part of the body for either defense or attack. Sort of like Piccolo's special beam cannon, as Raditz explained, goes beyond his usual strength because he's able to concentrate all of his ki into only two fingers.

We need confirmation on this, but it seems like Black is actually weaker in pure strength than Goku or Vegeta. He just seems to be faster, more precise and is good at concentrating energy into attacks, which would give Black an interesting dimension to his fighting style and make him special, something I feel more DB characters need.

It's essentially what happened when Gohan and Goku mastered the SSJ1 form, and as a result were able to freely power up huge ammounts as if they were in their base form, but instead they were in Super Saiyan.

I honestly don't think SSJ3 is even natural. Goku created the form himself when his body was weightless, and it's clearly a very unhealthy transformation as well.

If you were to look back at all the official art, cover art, the kanzenban recolors you would see tha Toriyama have always depicted the Brief family as purple haired.
This was not the case for the anime which was always indecisive with Bulma's color. Toriyama finally fixed this by making them match up once again but now with blue instead of purple.
The only reason Kid Trunks is still purple is because we're already 50 episodes too deep in for retconning Kid Trunks but if you look at BoG concept art you can clearly see he is depicted with a same blue tone as Bulma.
