When he's making the biscuit soldiers, he mentions that they're made from forming CRUMBS into shapes. It might even be more accurate to say his power is crumbs, not actual biscuits themselves.

He also appears to be an artist/sculptor at heart so to me it makes perfect sense that he's this strong

No, I think we just have to put the Paramecias into narrower catagories than "Paramecia". It makes sense that DF users who have a "Creation Fruit" like Doffy who creates strings, could turn their surroundings into that what they create. Am I the only person really glad From the Decks of the World 2 is over? It only took 25 installments but 33 chapters, and over half of it was just retreading what we saw in the first one. The only new ones were a few of the Strawhat's timeskip mentors, the revolutionaries (but it didn't reveal anything that we didn't already see from their chapter), Aokiji (also revealing nothing), and Shanks. Hopefully we'll get an actual cover STORY arc this time.

Yup. Sanji could have easily won against his father without even breaking a sweat, but he didn't want to throw away so many lives. I doubt his brothers are actually capable. So far they seem Paradise-strong, if you know what I mean. BM wants them not because they are sick NW fighters, but because of their numbers and their military strenght that comes throught those numbers.
