for the show, think the manga is a point or two better, much more conclusive ending and the true identity of saten in the manga vs. the anime is different. The anime only got about 1/2 -> 2/3 through the manga material in any case.

Needless to say, the best.

It was a series that really excelled at what it does (comedy, fights, ecchi) and never needs to be more than that. Ironic how this great series is not popular yet Akame ga Kill is, despite the latter being so much more shallow and boring in comparison.
