You lost me. Pucci's a really effective and interesting villain, but he's far from infallible and got his shit fucked a bunch of times. Not to mention how flawed and selfish his motives ultimately were, he was a man ruled by guilt and by his determination not to feel guilt, the claims that it'd make people happy were bullshit. Not to mention that a bunch of his victories were simply due to chance and not skill, like Jolyne distracting Weather with the car or Jotaro pushing him into the door-frame.

While Annasui's a scary shithead, he also tried to sacrifice his life for Jolyne twice. The first time was when he had Jotaro's memory-disc thrown into him and was dying, he told Foo Fighters to kill him and take over his body so the stand-disc wouldn't disappear with him, and the second time was when he phased through the group so he'd absorb the brunt of Pucci's attack, and explicitly told Jotaro to wait until he was hit before stopping time and attacking. Same with Bruno's gang, while some of the things they've done are pretty awful, all of them have actively redeeming and heroic traits that Joshu hasn't shown.

Why are the Japs trying to make a live adaptation of part 3 instead of part 4?
I get part 3 is more popular but its a globe trotting monster of the week adventure with little character or plot development. until they reach Egypt.

Part 4 on the other hand is more grounded, self contained, focuses on the characters and is based in one small town in Japan so it wouldn't cost a fraction to shoot.

Sort of the opposite I think. He loved the travel aspect (he even liked India) and fighting alongside people he grew to respect and care about, it's social stuff he has problems with, seen in how aggressive he is to strangers. I like the anime DIO way better in terms of voice and look, especially his last stage with green lipstick and super saiyan hair and crazy eyes, but OVA made a better fight
OVA had weird shifts from embarrassingly awkward, bloated characters to really neat animation and faces, especially that part with Pol on boxes and Splat's hair was great.
Character designs were terrible though, especially Kak.

I agree in terms of voice. Koyasu is as close to a perfect DIO as we are gonna get. And while I liked that the anime's design was more true to the original (crotchless pants, green hearts), I just can't say I prefer the way DIO looked in the anime. It's not even all that QUALITY, I felt like the character was just lacking in facial expressions and body language (stilted animation and overly long shots are responsible for this), and these things are one of the most important parts of DIO in DIO's World.

OVA DIO was insanely goofy and expressive and you can pause at every single frame and there's a different face DIO is making. I felt like they captured what he is supposed to be much better.
I like the way Junichi Hayama draws JoJo characters but I didn't like the way they looked in the OVA apart from DIO and Jotaro.

What I like the most about them is that his MUDAs have a lot more power and intensity behind them. And he's not just screaming "mudamudamudamudamudamudamuda" ad nauseum like the others. His MUDAs are more like
