I am still conflicted over his death. Extremely sad of course and would have liked to continue seeing him in the series, but he was so broken. It would have only made him worse.
Still, Titanwin would have been a magnificent thing to behold. I saw a picture once of Erwin, Nile, Mike, Moblit, possibly Levi, and maybe a couple of others, all in titan form. It was incredible.

The only time that it might work is if that time loop theory comes into play but I never put much faith in it.

Having got the game:

The core gameplay is great. It's pretty easy to understand, and gives you a sense of accomplishment for what you're doing at the same time. Kills feel like kills, and movement feels fast and fluid.

I was pleasantly surprised they went ahead a little bit in the story (even if the Reiner's "Uh! I'm injured, gotta go!" before the Armoured Titan reveal was so in your face they should have just dumped it)

Every character feels like their respective character. You'd thing this a basic thing, but this is somehow a regular fuck up in these kinds of game.

Sufficient hours worth of story to justfiy the price in some way, and the levelling up for all the characters is pretty fun to do, especially if you give them an order in terms of kayfabe justification, so I did Levi first because he was the strongest, then Eren because protagonist, etc)

Eren kills Titans in Trost in human form, so OP1 makes sense.

The actual manga exclusive section was fucked by the MGSV failure of the "complete this many identical missions before coming back" variety ruining pace.

There are a few translation errors (made worse when you're focussing on the gameplay and can't read the subtitles) and sometimes characters will refer to your you in the third person even while you are that same character.

The tasks are pretty repetitive, as is the core gameplay if you don't have a high tolerance for Titan slaughter.
It's around a 7/10 depending on how much the bad stuff bothers you.
