I wish I had seen evangelion without knowing anything about it.
It would probably be my favorite anime above the yuasa and other masterpieces because of the shocking value.
But because I have been spoiled so hard before I just find it good.

I wish more people on /a/ would stop using the 'pretentious' buzzword when they don't get a show the first time. It's not even anything to do with intelligence, if people paid more attention or watched the shows again they'd probably get it. That's not to say there aren't pretentious shows out there, but the vast majority either aren't at all of just have trouble communicating the point, mostly because alot of the shows communicate it visually.
