Honestly the anime captured their characters perfectly, the shame of it all is you don't get to see Emi thaw out. She already did in Chapter 2 swinging back and forth, but I like the decision of the anime to keep antagonistic tension.

The sad part is, they might of villianfied Emi as way too tsundere and the tastes of Japs changed, thus we don't get a season 2. There's also way too much to adapt, so that kills the tension they were able to bring.

The anime did it's job, and that was to boost LN sales and awareness.
