I feel Yuki doesn't "pair" with anyone. She just genuinely cares about those in the club, and right now Kurumi is in the most dire situation thus Yuki's fixation on her. Yuki already knew Kkurumi was having a tough time from her little monologue in chapter 46, but upon seeing the handcuffs she's realizes that Kurumi needs more help than Rii right now.

Miki has been try to be the emotional pillar of the group since graduation, but she lacks tthe coonfidence to do so.

Yuki on the other hand, while still suffering from (or perhaps benefiting from) her Megu-nee delusions, is the one who really strive to an succeeds in keeping the group together.

I haven't been a huge fan of this arc, but now that Ruu has FINALLY been revealed as a delusion and the other groups plan to pin crossbow's murder on the club is falling apart, I feel like this arc is picking up pretty nicely. Still think the "scientist" that spoke to Miki a few chapters ago was a bullshit one-off though.

It was a risk, but it was one she had to take to survive long term. Locking yourself away in a room only works until you run out of food and breaking out to start wandering aimlessly is a one way ticket to becoming zombie food. A rescue party was a once in a lifetime opportunity that she had to go for.

It actually is. Both the Yuki reveal and the Megu-nee reveal we're way better in the anime than the manga. The anime had a disappointing last episode and the devil himself toroumaru, but that doesn't detract from the general quality of the series that much.

Like I said before, anime are made first and foremost to sell merchandise and the source material above all else. Which it did. It adapted the important parts very well (The Megu-nee business and the cute girls doing zombie things) while adding some other elements to attempt to increase disc sales (like toroumaru). It failed in the latter aspect, but the investors were laughing all the way to the bank when the manga sold more in a week than in every week prior combined.

I never said the anime was great or superior to the manga, but it was fine for what it was and there are episodes I would watch again.

He had no qualm assaulting Kurumi even before he knew for certain she is a zombie as well as using violence again one girl in his group when she couldn't stab a chained zombie in flashback.
