Not him, but he probably means the original anime one's, modern dragon ball is super bright and saturated, original was a lot more muted. I personally like how goku's hair was straight up black, now days they add a lot of highlights sometimes.

It's not quite the colors, it's the extra highlights they use in the lighting that makes makes skin looks shiny and shit, also the drawings themselves are sharper in general, like how the hair is pointier and uses less curves. There are other things but it really does looks bad.

The ones the 2008 special had. Modern, but nice.

Note how Goku's skin is brown now, or how the Saiyan hair is solid yellow when it was more of a whiter tone.

Even the grass or the sky look like they were made in MS Paint.

And I don't want to talk abou the awful highlights.

They need to bring back the former colour designer. The new guy (who took over since BoG) sucks.

not only the animation is shitty but the coreography too.
