Compared to this, not at all. The first chapter of IK introduces the world and the basic plot in a ok way. RS first one feels like the author couldn't decide what the first chapter should be about, so he just added everything he could imagine. A timeskip in the first chapter is already a absolute no go.

This is like the most generic shonen shit, it will last from 3 to 10 volumes then everyone will forget it even existed.

Even though I like the idea of a steampunk manga the artstyle and the powers the characters will have already doom it.

I liked it, but I don't see it lasting as it doesn't have mass appeal

Why does everyone complicate their shounen manga nowadays? Just pick a certain theme and build around it.
