So is black clover even any good? I know literally nothing about it other than the fact it's shounen wizards and I guess somewhat similar to naruto or something, which doesn't bode well depending how similar it really is to naruto.

it's generic, but I wouldn't say it's bad.

The dialogue isn't great, save for Yami's lines, but the art is decent, it has good fights, the powers are cool, and it has a lot of potential.

I'm not saying it's amazing and underappreciated, but it's nowhere near as bad as /a/ will tell you it is. It starts off pretty bland but has been really solid since chapter 23.

It's basically My Hero Academia with wizards.

If you don't go into it expecting some life changing experience, it's pretty solid. The artwork is pretty nice too.

I finally figured out what turned me off so much about this manga.
It's these fucking faces that everyone make whenever they react to something.
There's nothing wrong with it usually, but in Black Clover it happens like 10 times per chapter and the faces are obnoxious as hell, I just want to stop reading whenever I see one

Black Clover is basically getting carried by the art, to be honest. The guy might actually draw the best girls in Jump right now, they feel even softer and more uniquely cute than Tosh's.

Well, they announced an OVA for a series. An anime adaptation is imminent.

Last calls for guessing which studio does it. Keep in mind they can change sometimes: Toriko got fucking Ufotable for its OVA before Toei snatched it up.

I'm betting on Pierott. With Bleach done, Osomatsu over, and Naruto turning into Boruto, they need another cash cow.
