I think it's pretty useless complaining about 24/7 threads. There's enough of a steady stream of crossboarders here for them to always be made, and as long as mods aren't doing anything about other generals then these will be untouched as well. Regardless, these threads, despite being shit discussion wise, can be pretty fun sometimes. And when discussion does come up, it's even better because its a refreshing change of pace from the shitposting. At this point I'd say just go with the flow until something happens board wide. I'm pretty sure when these threads aren't 24/7 a lot of people complaining now will miss them as well.

The thread is funny sometimes and we can start good discuss when we try.
Besides that moments when the htead goes full shitpost crossboarders and people replying to shitposters the threads are pretty good.

Confession: I'm ging to start part 6 soon and I still think my favorite villain is still Dio from part 1. He may have been evil for no good reason, but he had personality, was a total badass, and he was over the top hammy as fuck. I liked that.

Kars had a fun concept and was fucking great at the end of part 2, but he had no personality or development at all.

Dio from part 3 was played even more as a generic evil guy, with even less development that he got in part 1, and his personality got more bland. It felt like he was only truly there as a placeholder for the hero's final destination, even more than Kars was.

Kira was pretty great, and was probably the most believable villain out of all 5. I'd give him the #2 slot. The only thing he lacked was personality, but for his character that was fine.

and Diavolo is probably my least favorite. He has no fun traits, his stand ability looks good on paper but gets boring quick and the stand also looks stupid as hell.

Dio 1 > Kira > Kars > Dio 3 > Diavolo

Do you know any people IRL who like jojo? If so do they read manga?

my honest thoughts about parts 1-6
Part 1 was really good. I liked how manlly it was, how personal the conflict was and it's really fun overall (jonathan is my favourite jojo)
Part 2 was also a good time. I loved the indiana jones style adventure, the side characters were fun and the fight between Wammu and Joseph was pure gold.
Part 3 was kinda bad. The stands were not that interesting, the villain of the week formula got old pretty fast, the characters acted like dumbasses when the plot called for it etc. Some fights were intense and fun, the teath scenes were really sad and the DIO fight was okay (i loved the DIO fight in the 90's ova tho)
Part 4 was mediocre with a lot of plotholes, underdeveloped characters and boring villain of the week fights. I liked Kira, but thats about it.
Part 5 was kinda good. The villain of the week fights are really boring here, but the plot is interesting, the powers are creative and the characters are fun.
Part 6 is quite possibly the best part. It is intense, hardcore and interesting. There is more story here than in previous parts, there is little downtime, there is always a feeling of urgency. The stand abilities are whacky and bizarre. The villain is great, the jojo is great and they have a really great rivalry going on. And the ending, while a mindfuck, is still pretty creative and new.

From what I understand, people treat BtD as a plot hole for only one reason: It was never shown how BtD was planted in Hayato and what happens after you plant it in the new person because after Kira was pierced it just cuts to the morning and then BtD's power unravels during the ark and yet what happens when you plant it in the new person is never addressed until the very end when he tries to do this with the paramedic.

So, what people actually treat as plot hole is (pic related) this moment, where he needs to press the button to plant it BtD inside her to go back in time (which was clearly established that it happens because Hayato is alive in the morning), people think the plothole is that he "suddenly" needs to press the button even though it was automatic before, not understanding that he needs to plant it first, go back in time and then it becomes automatic, planted in the paramedic, which is still baffles me, why people can not understand this (granted I didn't understand it myself very well at first), since Killer Queen is hovering behind him and clearly isn't inside a woman meaning that BtD isn't planted.

The only issue is seeing if time stopped, he wouldn't know unless he saw himself fine one second and then donutted the next. I think that Part 2 works better as an anime than manga. When I first read Battle Tendency I didn't really like it, but I think that the story works perfectly in anime format. Before getting into Jojo, i had read two very important works. First one was Dracula, a story about a guy named Jonathan, an old mentor figure and a group of loyal friends going on a crusade to kill an evil vampire who is slowly endangering the life of a woman they all wish to protect. The other one was Hokuto no ken (fist of the north star) Which is a manly tale about the fight between adopted brothers. Then i read jojo part 1 and it is like a child of those two. Gothic vampire story from racula meets the character desings and manliness of Fist of the north star + bizarreness and music references.
