HE FINALLY DID!
IT TOOK HOW MANY FUCKING YEARS!?
THE RIDE IS OVER
Your dream is coming true
Ten or so years ago I came to /a/ after watching the final animu episode, posted a screenshot where someone hugs the bitchy girl with post content "it's over"
Someone stickied it and it turned into a massive shitstorm by the standards of the day.
I'll always remember that sticky...
Saki in 2 chapter did what should have been done in the beginning and tell him to confess to her already. So essentially the manga wasted over a year for nothing.
I'm happy. But at the same time I hope there is a third series. Preferably one that focuses on the characters who have moved on to their careers with rare checkins by the new cast. (Kinda like opposite of niidaime.)
MOE wins all the time because moe is life and love.
>Dandere loli wins
>Old hags and trap loses
The moment Genshiken II finally became good again.
I haven't read this yet, but I saw Spotted Flower with the pregnant wife. Is this that guy? Or is it some alternate story.
Feeling pretty conflicted over the last handful of chapters.
Was quite surprised when I found out Kio decided to end it while back, seems like there is so much to explore with the characters still.
In regards to madaxsue ending, pretty underdeveloped and personally was the most boring of the choices.
I still remember a small period of time when people were arguing whether the possibility of the pairing even existed.
Couldn't say for sure but I'd figure Sue is about 18-20 and Madarame to be like 23-25 by the end. He had already graduated and worked for a year before Sue even started at the university.
Even though it's almost done, I hope all the missing omakes still get translated.
The whole harem thing felt completely underwhelming and missed a lot of chance to develop Sue. Sue was also the better alternative compared to the three who were jam packed with issues. Save for the American who just wants to fuck him.
Wait seriously. I thought it ended after the graduation. There was even a final group shot at the end. It's been going this whole time? Fuck it's been like 6 years, probably more since I was reading the english printing so there was probably already like a year gap.
>high slopped flower
But that's supposed to be jap proverb for something beyond one's reach. No sure if there's some special meaning to spotted flower but it seems to be a stretch to find meaning between the chapter title and the spotter flower manga.
Honestly if you have read genshiken since the beginning things were gonna go one of two ways for madarame.
Forever alone. (Most likely)
or end up with one of the two americans.
You could really tell the author had passion for the older characters/story.
The chapters with Hato as a man he could have fit into the original plotline by himself.
I bet adding fujo shit was the editors idea due to increase popularity of fujoshit in japan.
Only characters not disgusted/put off by madarame's temperament/behavior. (other than saki)
Don't forget Madarame's flashbacks from original manga. He is not great with women in general.
I really cringed when he started talking about moe desu.
Keiko lost the moment she confessed, she has a boyfriend but wouldn't mind two-timing, that would've been too much for him to handle, given his lack of experience.
For Genshiken, it's really poetic though. All this search for the "3DPD moe" to be his waifu and she's always been there since the first series. I couldn't be happier for both of them.
Next best thing after Saki.
I followed it, probably helped that I did read Nana once before due to a temporary student friend and followed D-grey man before it went FULL homo, still reading hoping some action will occur again that never did.
Also the longer you are here the more accepting you get for traps, 'being a little girl', and lonelier...
I'm just Madarame will have a chance for happiness, even if it's classical resolution at the end, keep the hope alive please!
I really felt a lot of mixed emotions when sue and mada finally met after the whole confession thing.
A mix of happiness, pride, sadness (and jealousy (fuck you, you can't have a gf before me!)).
I don't know if sue is perfect for mada, as that role would probably be saki,
but I think he IS perfect for sue.
Now they can be awkward together.
Man, with the exception of the Harem arc, the author has really gotten college otaku, and the yuppie life that follows, nailed down. If he intends to make a third part, then he should do one for working otaku.
