Are you ready for the biggest waste of budget this entire year? Cause I'm sure not.
>people shitting on it because of a shitty PV full of out of context scenes and quotes (as always, most of the quotes heard in the PV aren't even from the scene shown when you hear said quotes). Also most of the complaints are retarded because people don't understand what's actually being said in the PV and just complain about how the characters "sound"
Here's a synopsis. More informative than that shitty PV
>The "paranormal science" story follows nine idiosyncratic individuals, linked by the "Chōjō Kagaku Kirikiri Basara" occult summary blog run by 17-year-old second-year high school student Yūta Gamon. Little incongruities that occur around these nine eventually lead to a larger, unimaginable event that may alter what is considered common sense in this world.
Yuuki Kaji as Yūta Gamon, a high school boy who runs an occult blog and a self-proclaimed savior
Ayane Sakura as Ryoka Narusawa, a spirit guide
Kaito Ishikawa as Sarai Hashigami, a denialist, ultra-realist first-year university student
Hitomi Yoshida as Miyū Aikawa, a moe fortune teller and first-year high school student
Shizuka Itou as Tōko Sumikaze, a reporter for the occult magazine Mumū (a nod to the real magazine Mū), with a life outside occult interests
Miyuki Sawashiro as Aria Kurenaino, a black magic proxy
Kishô Taniyama as Kiryū Kusakabe, a mysterious man
Mamiko Noto as Ririka Nishizono, a future-predicting dōjin manga creator
Tetsuya Kakihara as Shun Moritsuka, a cosplay otaku detective
>looks like a kid but is actually 26 years old
These exist too. But they don't look like charlie brown's nose in muh serious animu
No, there's nothing wrong with them. You're thinking of the shading not the noses themselves
I hear the other SciAdv series are literally just games in this show's universe? That sort of turns me off a bit from this one if it's somehow completely unrelated to the other Semi;Colons.
>it has been already more than half an year since the teaser got released
>yfw CR/Funi translate it as "normie"
Not him, but it kinda refers to "normal people who live fullfilling, proper lives and enjoy it".
YES, "normie" might suit it but only retards with nasal voices actually use that word seriously in real life. It suits it because it comes from people who are trying to justify their lives and claiming "a-at least we're not fucking normies!" when being a "normie" is actually better. Remember the fable about the fox and the grapes? Pretty much that's what's going on.
Normalfag is slightly more acceptable, but it's also not quite what a person would say.
It's hard to translate "riajuu" and keep all the nuances behind it understandable by the general public.
When someone is below level 3 of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, you can't expect them to understand the more complex challenges of people who are above it but missing something there. They are already missing something very basic and so that is what their mind will wholly focus on.
YESS THEY USE FIREFOX
"Occult investigators" investigating their bullshit on niconico
60/40 chance it'll be garbage/fun
Can someone explain to me how the same guy directed both Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso and Lances and Masques? It's like either dramatic masterwork or comedy with fart jokes this guy does
It's the typical "stick a few scenes from the show and use a bit of the OST plus lines that mostly may not come from said scenes" stuff
The problem is that said editing can be unappealing as hell to foreigners who don't know what's being said or why the characters might be screaming
It's for stuff like this that judging a show by PVs is absolute bullshit
A PV can make a shit show look good and a good show look shit
That's the thing.A good PV can make you think shit is gold and a bad PV can make you think gold is shit
So, it's better to wait until the shows actually air to judge them rather that rush to shit on shows or praise them because of the PVs
I like Chaos;Head Noah, Steins;Gate, and Chaos;Child but I can't get myself hyped for this. I do want to see a Chaos;Child anime but I don't want them to fuck it up like the Chaos;Head adaptation.
Those needs do not for a hierarchy, when there's a war and people have trouble finding a safe place or food they don't suddenly stop caring about their family until they satisfy those needs.
Also Maslow created this pyramid based on smartest and most successful people like Einstein, while many ordinary people don't really care about self-actualization.
>SciADV series are just games in SVN universe
>turns out SVN series are also games in SciADV universe
It's not meant to work that way--that someone just abandons all higher priorities if they don't have one of the lower ones, just that generally for the higher ones to DEVELOP PROPERLY one needs to have the lower ones
>YES, "normie" might suit it but only retards with nasal voices actually use that word seriously in real life.
So, just like riajuu? I only see that used in the context of antisocial neets trying to feel better about being wastes of life, EXACTLY like "normie".
Retards jumping to conclusions based on how the voice acting sounds (because they don't actually understand what's being seid) and one character design (Also, the seiyuu for a character)
Why do they do that? Because they fance themselves ebin critics and to keep that internet smartass image, they must shit on everything by desperately looking for flaws and blowing them out of proportion
Honestly, I don't mind if they're taking their time as long as they're not sitting on it and are working on making sure the show's fine and at least as good as the first S;G
>Doga Kobo,Shaft, KyoAni, MAPPA, Trigger, Sunrise, PA Works.
>A-1 is about the only good studio left though.
How about no ?
The PV looks good though. I really hope A-1 won't suddenly drop the animation quality three episodes in.
And it's bullshit, because as human we always formed communities and families.
Even when humans lived as hunter-gathers they didn't live on their own until they could feed themselves and then look for a group to belong to.
Shaft made two of the most best-selling anime in recent times, wich both sports good production value.
Kyoto Animation is litterally the best anime studio when it comes to production. Their adaptations are top notch.
Trigger have only put out decent to top-tier anime so far, hardly a bad studios.
Bad studios =/= Studios that produces anime I don't like.
>Their adaptations are top notch.
How the fuck? I like KyoAni a lot but their current M.O. when adapting is throwing the source material out the window and doing their own thing. I don't mean improving it for a different medium, seriously just doing something different. Sometimes it turns out better than the original and sometimes it turns out worse, but if I actually liked the original of something they were adapting, I'd be quite upset (as a few people who somehow like the trash novels they adapt are).
>unappealing as hell to foreigners
I find ads from my home country and the USA to be unappealing and to never show the best elements of a show as well. desu, vague trailers that just give you an idea of the aesthetic and tone of a show are the best and leave the biggest impression IMO. These two really impressed me recently.
Yeah, Im obviously generalizing quite a bit here. That said, apart from maybe Phantom World and Chuu2, it worked out pretty well for them so far.
Though, I would be interested by the japanese reaction to the changes made.
>ayane sakura is part of this anime
PICKED THE FUCK UP
There's a huge difference between people who use "normie" and "nomralfag". The former is used by twitter/twtitch/youtube/pol/r9k-tier cancer, the later is used by people who usually know what that word means.
The inherent problem with Phantom World and Chuu2 S2 was that there was no way to make them good without altering the adaptation to the point that it wouldn't resemble the source in any way. Their best adaptation in recent years was Hibike Euphonium, and they didn't change much at all in it anyway.
I don't really know about the original plot of Phantom World, but I can see what KyoAni was aiming for with their changes and I liked it.
Hibike was definitely their best one since Hyouka, Im hype for the next season.
This show looks very scientific, I mean those tits defy gravity.
