The inciting incident is Emporio approaching Shizuka as the lone survive Joestar of the original world, and together they search for a way to reverse what Pucci had done (maybe a Stand called Highway to Hell to counteract Made in Heaven)

Focuses on non-combat Stands (like Shizuka's Achtung Baby)

Ends with Shizuka successfully reversing time back to Cape Canaveral, where Shizuka and Emporio+Weather's presence creates a different scenario where Pucci is defeated before he can evolve past C-Moon.

Eh, to be fair the DIO/Pucci shit looked as though it was meant to be ambiguous. There's a definite undertone of attractive evil coaxing a well-meaning naive kid into the path of evil, even if it's not explicitly romantic or sexual.

I can see why Araki would be uncomfortable confirming or denying anything outright, though. While the story in-context makes sense and is interesting to read, saying out of context 'Yeah, I totally wrote about a 120-year-old vampire fucking a 15-year-old priest just like in your doujins lol' would make him seem like a creep and would wreck any subtlety that the original story had.

Araki always seems to get the worst interviewers. Poor fucker seems so uncomfortable in them, and for good reason.

I'm not saying that he wrote it with the intention of saying 'Look at these Gay Men in Love with Each Other', but it does seem that he meant the nature of their relationship to be questionable. DIO first meets Pucci when he's already straying from God's word by reading priest pornography and teases him for it, and later on they're seen laying in bed together with DIO shirtless. While Pucci says that he loves DIO as he loves God, Pucci's already established himself as someone whose piety is severely compromised. And in spite of DIO's shittiness, Pucci is apparently one of the three people (along with his mother and Jonathan) that DIO genuinely loved, even though I interpreted it as more respect/friendship love than romantic/sexual.

It's kind of cool that he can have genuinely nice and chill interviews with people who are fujo or otherwise, though. Even if he's probably a bit bewildered and embarrassed by some of the stuff they make I hope he's happy that they enjoy his work.

Pucci's a priest, but him being way less pure and pious than he claims to be is a core theme of his character. He's a guy who lies to himself constantly to justify every terrible action, it's impossible to take him at face-value.

And yeah, I doubt that DIO found Pucci particularly physically attractive, or he'd probably have just gone after him for his body the same way he did with all those chicks at his mansion. But I am pretty sure that he genuinely cared. Pucci's the only person DIO shows vulnerability to other than Jonathan, and with Pucci DIO actively gives him the opportunity to kill him and take his stand. Everything with DIO has some level of sliminess and evil to it, but Pucci's canonically one of the only people he cared about. Even then, I really doubt he'd ever be able to truly and healthily love him or anyone else.

Yeah, pretty much. Taking an iconic part of a famous pop-culture thing is pretty common and accepted, especially if it's just a small part of a whole. Araki making one minor character in Stone Ocean having the backstory of Stanley Yelnats isn't plagiarism because A) it's done with the intent of at least some people recognizing it and going 'Oh, I know that!' and B) because it doesn't make up the bulk of the work.

Honestly, while I hate Jotarofaggotry as much as anyone I'm glad that GER and Tusk 4 were ineffective against The World Over Heaven. Star Platinum being the bullshit Chosen Stand that can perfectly counter this particular threat is obnoxious, but think of how cheap it'd be if Johnny and Giorno won simply because they were the most OP.

Star Platinum is a strong but not undefeated stand, but Tusk 4 can only be beaten by itself and GER is basically untouchable.

Also with the chapters being rearranged like that, we pretty much got Kira front to back.

We're never going back to the OG universe anon, that was the whole point of Part 6 and 7. What happened with Pucci is final and the ending is the best they could achieve, and Part 7 goes to great lengths to separate itself from the older Parts and serve as a new starting point for future stories. Yeah, they might be a little too accurate at times. The translator from HWMN keeps things as accurate as possible to an insane degree. You'll see a lot of text where characters ta~~~~~~~lk li~~ke thi~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~s which is them translating the text EXACTLY how Araki wrote it. So characters actually talk like that in every Part but the only group who's kept that in is HWMN. They make mistakes occasionally but it's very rare. In a recent chapter they mistranslated a line saying 'mommy wants to see you soon too' as 'I want to see mom soon too' which caused confusion about that character's identity but they just got it wrong. It's pretty rare they get stuff wrong though and they're one of the best groups we have who've worked on JoJo. If we get a Part 9 I expect they'll do that too.

He was in shadow the whole time and Buccellati never got to see his face. Changing that would be silly since Abbacchio dying to get their first glimpse of his face happens later. At most they'll change his hair, the only reason Diavolo wasn't in his suit at the end was because he was Doppio for a bit and not Bossu.
