I think about six hours of sleep is a practical minimum if you don't want to feel shit the next day and be able to function at near 100%, especially if you do physical stuff.

And by six hours I don't mean you can't deal with less occasionally, but if you get less than that every night as a matter of course then you're going to suffer.
