Isshin outright abandons both children to their violent fates (one living with pedo rapist the other basically orphaned in school to become a fight club member for life) after attempting live human experiments requiring implanting man-eating parasites into them as infants to see what happens. Which made him feel bad enough to stop and set them up to commit (while justified) matricide without so much as informing them that maybe they shouldn't try killing each other in the process.

He knew what the older was doing, he set her up to do it, and yet in his final gasp of life his last words to Ryuko are not "Find Satsuki your sister, help each other she knows the truth." it was "Grab this sword and go search if you care."

I for one can favor the prospective of some that may not have enjoyed the show because its lack of fan service, but I did enjoy the shows plot premise and how it was all executed(with exception to that ending)
It sucked more than Haruhi's attitude.

Soul eater NOT! however came out with all the echi, fanservice type deal and cannon shipping that soul eater couldn't, but at a major cost of the plot premise kinda sucking and the series being way too short.

Personally I'd like to see a season 2 to either of the series but it doesn't look like thats a liable option anytime soon...

You're severely understating just how terrible a father Tucker was.

Unlike Tucker, those mothers gave no expectation to their children that they would ever good parents. All their kids knew that so they found a way to cope with the situation and grow up just fine.

Tucker's daughter however fucking trusted her father completely, and he literally used that trust to mutilate her beyond the point of repair after years of pretending to be a caring father.

It's pretty much impossible to top that.
