I guess it's that his work is really indulgent but also emotionally and psychologically rich, there's a lot of text with a lot of focus on what characters are feeling and thinking. Then there's the girls themselves, it's a harem of girls all of which are not only beautiful but also all special snowflakes madly in love with Asai making the work very idyllic. But at the same time, because of Raita's own aesthetic, attitude and style, what would come off, by any other author, as really shallow, trashy, and stupid instead comes off as really sweet and sincere.
