Words like tatsumaki and fubuki are things that most of us, from reading/watching chinese cartoons for so many years, catch up on.
It is kind of a mistake to translate Tatsumaki and Fubuki, because those are their actual names. It'd be like translating Saitama but if they didn't translate them, can you imagine someone jumping in at a random chapter who has barely any (or none) knowledge of japanese language and reading "Tatsumaki" and "Fubuki"? How would they associate a relation between them unless clearly stated?
Would viz have to type in every page a *Tornado? Even their kind of obvious relationship can be lost to many people.

Depends on how you want to use the fire.
You could use transmutation and use it in a similar way to Mustang from FMA, making your aura into an igniter.
You could use it as difference application of Genthru.
To emit your aura into fire, you'd still need to use transmutation (60%). Much easier and efficient to try that if you're a transmutter or an enhancer.

That 'misleading' explanation and the way Nen actually works are not separate at all
Wing uses two sets of words when addressing Nen elements (ten zetsu ren hatsu): 点, 舌, 錬 発; and 纏, 絶, 練 発. Only ｈａｔｓｕ is written and read the same, the rest read the same. Wing says he gives the first explanation as a simplified version, and that not everyone needs the full class. Even then, that explanation has it's own name, 'Nen of the flame', which doesn't sound like something made up on the fly and more like a concept of ShingenRyu KungFu, the martial art he practices. This makes sense in the fact that it would be easier to explain the concepts of a martial art instead of explaining how you can control the magical steam that comes out of you, and makes even more sense over-all because Netero founded ShingenRyu.

That's an assumption based on nothing. If Pitou didn't personally care about keeping Komugi alive (for Meruem's sake, not just on orders), then we don't know how things would go down. Pouf wouldn't have seen change in her face, Pitou may not have even been concerned with keeping Komugi safe after healing her (since the order was only "heal Komugi" after all).
Pitou had the least development because it wasn't as necessary for her character. She had the broadest characterization to begin with.

Any change that starts with zero to one IS significant, even more so with Youpi because of his magical beast genes, unlike the other two.
Pitou has convenient character traits that come along with his design. Youpi's character only develops through the course of the arc. I find that more impactful by a landslide.
