But then Skull Knight takes them into a giant vortex in the middle of a red lake, where a dark bird-man heals Casca by taking in the remainder of the Elf King's semen in her body and transferring it into his balls. His minions also revive an army of dead people. This weakens him a lot, and he is left immobile for a year, until some guy heals his skin and organs by implanting them - and even putting new nails!

Then he goes on to meet the King of Midland who thanks him for saving their precious knight and lets him fuck his daughter. After that, he fights with Guts and those two start admiring eachother. From royal knights that successfully sieged castles that haven't been conquered in a hundred years, they slowly become an ordinary band of bandits. But that has made them happier than before - they look so much younger and satisfied!

...until Guts leaves after a certain sword fight. But that does not break Griffith - he is still a successful leader, but losing Griffith had a huge impact on the band's strength. Griffith goes to some old man and pays him money to remove the spell he took from Casca that's in his testicles..and something similar happens to Guts as well. After healing two men with his sword - his adoptive father, and a huge friend of his, he realizes that he has a certain curse in himself as well - and he lets the huge guy heal him...but he asked for 3 silver coins from his dad. Well, yeah, that's not much, but that set the budget of the band a bit.

He afterwards uses time-reversing cannons, and brings huge castles to their former glory.
