They do not reflect Kon's own creativeness just because two well known directors directly took scenes and concepts from his movies
Those scenes only reflect the respective directors' ability to take a scene from a Satoshi Kon movie and see how it plays off for them as live action.

Pretty much while he was alive there was a brief period where you could kind of tackle these topics seriously and show the downsides of otakudom as well but since then there has been no director with anything other than purely commercial desires who would even be willing to examine that and most portrayals of otaku in anime are incredibly flattering and ridiculous that double down on the dangerous fantasy thing that Kon criticized. Basically all of the worst fears on where the whole otaku thing might be headed have come true and substantially worse than they could have imagined as the industry has shifted to exploiting these people outright.
