Well, I can understand I guess. I was hyping Kill la Kill and Kyousougiga back then as well and I still consider them better than Samurai Flamenco.

Sums it up pretty much. I was spoiled on the torture scen though, but I expected it too be a lot more explicit.

Only thing getting worse was the quality.The story is greatly entertaining with all that sit down and shit.

I started watching around the first episode because at first I thought it was a buddy cop show and I was super excited about it. It completly blew my mind once mojo monkey showed up. I remember my favorite part of /a/ around that time was everyone trying to figure out what would happen next, and if Hazama was actually crazy the whole time.

Samurai Flamenco is a fucking masterpiece.

I have no idea if it would have been better or worse without the animation and art falling apart. That's the beauty of it.

It definitely got worse in the sentai arc, it was awful and I almost dropped it. But it was worth getting through it.
