Actually, its just enough if you don't put monogamy into the table to begin with. Make a setting where monogamy is not a thing or polygamy is seen as normal thing and...that's it, it can be well written.

Depending on the work, if the harem thing is a thing through the story and there are female characters that don't mind (like tenchi series for example in which poligamy is a normal thing in the universe) then yes.

If all the story is about romance and all the girls wants mc for them alone and it just ends with the main character "I just pick you all" and they go "yay" then NO I don't want that.
