But isn't the dimensional barrier similar to the Vajra Queen's? I thought the dimensional barrier is useful against Beam attacks as shown from Macross Frontier. Unlike Knights she didn't hate humans and didn't have any grudge against them. And as we saw in manga her friends on Windermere were pretty neutral about Walkure which probably means they didn't hate humans as well. Common people did not care about revanchism unlike Gramia and Aerial Knights.

That's why Freyja didn't even consider herself a traitor when the war was declared. She thought it was just some stupid politician stuff, she knew that her friends on Windermere were peaceful and probably were against another war. For her this war was almost some kind of misunderstanding. And this explains why Freyja was so surprised and shocked when Bogue called he a traitor in episode 6.

Also her conclusion wasn't just "I wanna sing with Walkure". In episode 8 she learned about Kassim's reasons for fighting. It was because of his pain caused by loss of his family and relatives. But in the very same episode Freyja saw that cat pilot and she understood that this war was causing the same pain to other families. So that's why she decided to continue singing - to stop this war and prevent further suffering.

I admire Frejya's motivation. She adheres to her dreams to become part of the Walkure and sing to her hearts content.
