>Attila the Hun is now a Succubutt
Japan flipping off Mongolia aside, I agree. Much want.
Great start, guys.
Well GSC always charges 2k yen to ship, so anon is not wrong in that regard. However I'd say that every yen matters, especially when you're already spending that much. 20$ off is nothing to scoff at.
My first figure arrived today. Got her on ebay for $20 including shipping, so I'm pretty happy. She's the second figure I've purchased, but Anya Love Laika version isn't out yet.
She's really cute. Open toed heels are love.
What is the one figure you would instantly press "pre-order" for?
Why do they spend money on larger box just for this?
>delayed 4 months
does anyone know what happened?
is orca toys going bankrupt or something?
Preordered this and i don't even play Granblue
yep fatty got delayed
I think it's swappable eyes. All the black parts around the eyes seems similarly sized. The 2 parts head is just to make it easier to push out the black parts off the mask.
This. Now watch as they make the guns online exclusive.
It's going to be Godoka all over again. The best options for stores will be GSC and maybe some of their partner shops, and BiJ with their FedEx Economy shipping, assuming that BiJ's estimate for that shipping method is correct.
For the US, anyway. I feel sorry for anyone from South America who was planning on ordering her.
I wouldn't be surprised if the final base looked like that, but with a light pink circle instead of clear. The support is likely final, since it looks like it's just a longer version of the one on the Stars Bless You version.
I'll take any extra savings I can get. Here I was really worried about the shipping costs on this one, because it's so huge and probably pretty damn heavy.
That could actually work, as long as the pieces don't wear out after a few swaps. In fact that would be better than faceplates, since that means you can mix and match the eyes.
I'm worried that you're right about exclusive guns though.
This is actually tempting. Sakura looks adorable and the variant had too much going on for my taste. Still too expensive even with the free shipping, though. Hoping for it to bin but knowing my luck, it won't.
BiJ is estimating it at 3kg. I doubt it weighs that much, but the size is going to mean crazy huge boxes. Ultimate Madoka ended up being shipped at 3kg rates too.
Now add at least 6k shipping for the Stars version.
>GSC's biggest release since Madokami
>character from a long running and loved series worldwide
>hoping for it to bin
Yeah, it's a pipe dream. I think I'll just pe-order it on amiami. The basic version shouldn't be that rape on shipping and that discount is pretty good. You think she'd go well with the Koto Syaoran? Been wanting to get the Sakura to go with him but I was never a big fan of it so I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Going to pickup the daki for sure. Don't care if everybody hates Imu.
I think it'd go pretty well. They're the same scale, which is the important thing, and the basic one still looks really nice, though it could definitely use a better base. Syaoran's base is way better by comparison.
I have both Koto figures and there are things about Sakura that bug me, too. Like that upside down bow.
Why didn't they paint the lips up to the beginning of the teeth? It's like looking at a kid that's sucked too many cherry flavored dick popsicles..
I don't know, just find her to be really sexy and her dedication endearing. Have a thing for characters that wield staffs as well, her playstyle is always fun to use.
Also a megane-fag, so that certainly doesn't hurt..
It makes sense insofar as being based on a live action character, since lipstick doesn't go all the way over the inside of the lips, but his lips proper definitely shouldn't be the same color as the skin of his face.
Renka will be up in August, Kagura is the last one will be up in September to coincide with the series' 5th year.
Just do whatever.
The difference in price won't be much anyways, although I think GSC will be a little cheaper in the end.
The store page says they are doing free shipping for her.
Kotobukiya has already made some of DC heroes including Nightwing. As for this sexy look Nightwing is the sexiest of all of them and I don't know who can even compete. I will bet on Jason Todd to be next.
>To celebrate the release of Sakura Kinomoto: Stars Bless You, all international customers will enjoy free shipping of this product.
Tempted by the free shipping of GSC for Sakura, but the price on her on amiami tempts me too.
They should get more creative and less shy, these poses are as bland as ever.
You can use Big in Japan's shipping calc as an estimation. They put it at 5900 EMS to the USA, and Amiko's shipping is usually about the same.
So yeah, the discount at Amiko's nice, but the shipping price will cancel it out, and has the potential to be even higher.
GSC sucks at packaging—there's none, really, they just put it in the box and send it on its way, with maybe a piece of packing paper somewhere. The figure's box will likely end up a bit dinged, but unless you're really unlucky it shouldn't be terrible.
I feel you dude. The 200 bucks makes me sweat for sure but it's 11 months away till release so I like to believe that I'll have my shit together by then or at least an extra 200 to drop.
Preorder just to be safe is what I always do. I'll figure out the rest when it comes.
Has anyone here ever sent a package from Japan? I messed up and I think I might lose a couple houndred dollars worth of stuff.
Hopefully you're setting aside much more than that since who knows what the exchange rate will be 11 months from now. Though I've heard you can request an invoice from GSC at any time, not sure if that's true or not. Might be worth asking about it in case the rates reach favourable heights again during the waiting period.
inb4 it's delayed for an additional 6 months.
I put an incomplete address and the package is now in retention in Kanda, and i'm already back in the US. I don't know jap well enough to communicate with them on the phone and I don't know what's going to happen when the retention perios is up.
But can you really ham hand if your hands aren't made of ham?
Post your pre-wonfes preorders.
How much do your preorders usually expand after wonfes?
mfw order gets confirmed for the shiro 1/7 1 day before orders on amiami close and prices go up everywhere
>post wonfes preorders
Usually a wishlist a ton of ones that are in the making, curious what the finished product will be. But I'm continually disappointed and end up buying not that much
You should have gone for it, he's one of the best boys after all.
Completely unrelated but now I want a Lalafell figure. Preferably Dark Knight or Black Mage.
But even if the stars aligned and FFXIV figures existed they'd all be catgirls.
Maybe maybe not. I know there's a line of SD-Statuettes, though all of story NPCs.
Also if they were to make a Lalafell figure, it'd be a Black or White Mage in all likelihood. Black because a Lalafell Black Mage is Yoshi-P's personal character, White because the Lalafell shown in the CGI Cutscenes is a White Mage. So it'd be one of those two.
Yeah I know. It's just seeing the GBF figure made me imagine how nice it would be. Short girls with big weapons and heavy armor is just a thing I really like. The Elin figures for example are right up my alley.
Anyway enough /v/ shit from me. I hope everyone gets what they want from Wonderfest.
>buy one bd off amazon.jp
>they now send me daily emails advertising awful haremshit bds
The nendo is cute but I'm holding out for a nice scale of Tanuki.
I kind, sorta, really want to buy a set too.
My room is a disgusting hovel though so it's hard to justify buying interior decorations.
I've had a plan for an "Otaku Room" for a while. Ideally it'd be a spare, windowless room, but that's hard to come by. So I'd want to get a good set of curtains to cover the windows. Since it's an "Otaku Room", might as well have otaku curtains, and those look pretty damn nice...
>GSC sucks at packaging
This has me worried. Is it worth ordering her from Amiko to avoid this?
I recently ordered Madokami from Amiko's pre-owned section, and shipping was 7020k jpy to where I live (probably the same or slightly cheaper than shipping to the US). I've got a gut feeling Sakura will be even bigger.
But I really don't want her to get fucked in transit.
I probably would, if I weren't fairly strapped for cash right now. Have some ~$900 in orders between now and the end of August, not to mention I just put down $300 in anime for October (Not even sure if that was paid in advance or not). I don't get paid till the end of the month, and the pre-order period is only until July 31st...oh well.
Sundresses are probably the best articles of clothing to have ever existed.
Mousepad reprints fucking when?
I want Hikage and Mirai fuck.
>2000 yen unopened
It's not a very interesting sculpt but you can't beat that price
Is Nippon Yasan decent with packaging? I know they have shit customer service and have sold bootlegs in the past, but is their shipping atleast decent? Sakura is 24,000 with RSAL which seems wrong that she could even be sent that way considering her size and weight.
Fuck, now I'm wondering if it might be better to just cancel my GSC pre-order and order from amico instead.
I checked GSC's FAQs to see what their cancellation process is like, but apparently they don't allow them at all. Anyone have any experience cancelling from them?
>They put it at 5900 EMS to the USA
I've already said this before, but there's no way that's right. I live in the ME (fuck me, I know) which has the same shipping rates as the US at Amiko. I recently ordered Madokami and it came to 7,020 yen shipping via EMS. Sakura is not going to be any smaller, and likely even bigger.
Expect at least 7k, possibly even up to 8k.
The amount of detail in this figure gets me hard.
But if there's one thing I'm worried about, it's this. This is possibly the most fragile-looking thing I've ever seen on a figure. Do you think they're reinforced somehow?
If you look at the ones in the back, the stars appear to be attached by a small metal rod.
The deed is done, I'm going to cry big bitch tears if any Wonfes debuts any amazing Strike Witches or good Touhou figures as Sakura ate up my whole budget in one go. That could have been two nice scales, potentially three, but she will be the crown jewel of my collection as it should be.
Buying Opened/Package damaged on Mandarake. Is it worth the gamble? I got a Saber Lily gift version and the mirrior base was scratched to shit but the figure was alright. I really want to buy this fig to replace the shitty bootleg I bought of it last year but I dont want to buy a damaged figure if I can help it.
Depends on whether or not you want to gamble on the shipping costs. If you order from GSC you know it'll be 25k total. From AmiAmi it will likely be at least 25.3k shipped to the US, possibly higher.
Godoka's shipping was 5400 EMS to the US. That'd be 5900 now after the EMS price hike. You must have gotten unlucky and they didn't have a proper sized box or they filled it with even more paper than when they shipped mine 3.5 years ago.
Sakura's 1/7 and not 1/8 though, and with her base a better comparison would be MF's Sheryl Nome but I didn't buy her. Apparently she was 5960 EMS to California 2 years ago, which would put it at 6460 today.
If Sakura's packaged the same way Sheryl was, then her shipping will be about 6.5-7k from AmiAmi.
I want to order Sakura but I barely have room as it is and I already bought the $200 BD set.
the only thing I've been able to spot about it that I don't like is that the colours seem a little to washed out (to me) when compared to how they look in the anime, maybe some anon who is good with photoshop could saturate the colours on the figure a bit and see what that would look like.
pose also scares the shit out of me
Anyone know what proxy service to use in order to preorder a Kotobukiya item with it's online shop exclusive bonus?
The worst damage I've have from GSC shipments is some dented corners, which isn't great but also isn't terrible. The figures themselves were perfectly fine. And if there is a problem, their customer service is great.
It's not going to expand at all since the figures I'm interested in don't have prototypes yet.
I want to get Sakura but if wonfes gets many figures that I want, it would be demise in the slippery slope. 14k with free shipping is a pretty good deal considering that now every shit scale ends up costing more than that when you add shipping.
Living in a shit country doesn't help either.
Im buying this
Its probably gonna have a Nadeshiko to buy later...
>GSC sucks at packaging
Well now I'm worried a bit. I hope the Nendo I order from them turn out okay.
>Out of box space
>receive my first ever figure
>just sit there oogling it in the box
I just can't bring myself to open it, pic related
What would you do if someone walked into your room and draw noses on every figure you own?
>Amiami june order held up until yesterday thanks to a single item
>Mandarake has been checking stock for a week now
>The day after I ship my HLJ private warehouse, an item I've had on backorder becomes available
Jesus, I just can't win. Is it just me or has Japan been screwing everybody lately?
I got it yesterday, I'm really liking it. Looks beautiful. The one leg has a metal bar in it, so it's sturdier than it looks. The mini-flugel is a bit scary though due to her hair, be careful with her if you're gonna get her.
The ass is also amazing.
You should be able to come up with a plan for display space in the time you have, but I agree that the box is going to be a pain to store. If I order her I think I'm going to have to play some more box tetris in my closet, and maybe finally get around to selling some stuff.
Just got payment confirmation for Desktop Army.
Time to learn how to paint.
I didn't even know this was a thing. I'm surprised at their speed. I wonder if he'll be popular or if it'll bin.
Also, 4 faceplates, or is this one from a different nendo?
Surprised they're doing Chuuya next and not Ranpo or Atsushi.
found this on MFC
>not living alone
You only have yourself to blame.
ah, that puts my mind at ease a little, thanks anon
now I just hope she arrives in 1 piece
Pretty good. Nice feeling, decent weight, but mine already got some tearing at the openings.
Probably gonna try out pic related next month or so.
I know this does not belong here, i'm sorry
>that small pic on the top right
Is there a... skeleton inside your sex toy?
Any recommendations for glass-paneled cases? Detolfs are just ugly.
So have I, but this thing has so many fragile looking bits that I'm more concerned. I've only ever bought figmas and nendos from GSC in the past, and they're not very fragile.
I think I might pick up another one from ami. Worst case scenario, GSC's shit shipping damages it and I return it; otherwise I have two and can just offload the second one or whatever. It's not like it's going to bin.
That is both slightly disturbing and really cool at the same time.
Waiting for my Nepu Nepu to arrive
>Your item departed our USPS facility in LOS ANGELES, CA 90009 on July 19, 2016 at 1:43 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination.
I plan on preordering Deadpool as well
Detolfs are cheap compared to a regular glass display case. Expect to spend at least $1,000 on a display that would fit about the same figures as two detolfs which would cost $130.
More like 40€ + 5€ more shipping
I'm currently still waiting on some GSC exclusive shit that I ordered from Yorokonde. Should've been released in February initially. They're claiming it's not their fault, but I don't think I'll order from them again.
I prefer Nippon-yasan. Their trans-logistic shipping is fast as shit and really cheap (15 bucks, got my shiro in 6 days, and it's forwarded through france so no customs), and they generally round out cheaper than Amiami.
Also, they have nice little sales sometimes.
well, most figures i compared were only about 10€ apart - and shipping with yorokonde ist only 5,90€ for me. Figuya is 4,50. Figuya is actually cheaper when it comes to shipping withing germany
it's worth to compare.
Look on your order page, all transi-logistic does is stop you paying extra custom fees. Even the description page says this: http://www.nippon-yasan.com/lang-en/content/34-Transi-logistic?force=1
For some figures, it's cheaper to go with this shipping even with the VAT added on. The estimate for this with any other shipping was much higher.
They're also versatile but not very good looking and they sit on the ground. I bought a Klingsbo which is still cheap and higher off theground but loses out on adjustable shelves.
So they've never actually charged VAT for you guys.
Question: Is there a figure out there with woodland camouflage?
No, they've never charged VAT.
Shiro was 115 during the sale, and the shipping was 15. Maybe I'm just lucky or something, I don't know, but it's just cheaper and faster SAL for me.
They include the VAT from the get-go if I remember well. After it can still be cheaper but not as much would think.
It depend of the country but with France and it 22% tax + custom fees, Nippon-Yassan is sure really interesting.
Ah wait, I see now. It seems like they include the VAT on the store page, and then take it off if you choose SAL. Shiro was actually 100 bucks during the sale, but it said 115 on the store page.
Well, they could do a much better job of explaining that.
It was probably included in those 115€. Why would they list VAT if they don't actually charge it?
There is an exemple.
Eco Registered and I know they will undervalue so no customs for me.
Did a quick try with Amiami and Nippon-Yassan for Shiro.
Picking SAL with amiami, taking acount of the tax and custom fees (22%+ 21) you get around 160-170:
Nippon yassan is apparently at 150 with transi-logistic.
Still a better deal, but not as passing through the custom should. Also picking SAL with Nippon-Yassan is a disaster.
>picking SAL with Nippon-Yassan is a disaster
Did you have problem with them? I'm curious since I want to order from them from now on. I gambled USAL when I ordered Okita and the package arrived in 2 weeks, so I thought they're safe
They just announced a second set that's Buzz, LGMs, and a Spaceship. They combine into a separate bot, and can then further combine with the first set into the ultimate Toy-Bot.
Nevermind, I was only talking in term of cost and forgot that the custom fees were included in the price with Nippon-yassan.
I don't have anything against them.
