Episode 3 airs in 12 minutes, you ready for more of these qts /a/ ?
>you ready for more of these sluts /a/ ?
Fixed that for you OP.
Is it bad when a girl has feelings for her teacher?
What a hot little slut.
He's either trying to chop a frozen onion or using the blunt side of a knife.
Him swapping between terrible injury prone forms to good ones is also odd. I wonder if it's intentional.
I wish more anime had comic timing this good.
I've seen this pose before
No matter how bad a cook you are, I have to assume he has basic reasoning skills, he is a married adult working a real job.
"Yo, lemme just push this (dull???) knife towards my palm with a bunch of force. Nobody bad can come of this."
Incase people don't know, always keep your knives as sharp as possible, those are the safest since you can control them properly. In the event you do cut yourself too, it's better to get a cut with a sharp knife than a dull one as well.
I cook these almost everyday, how fucking weak is he?
>All all kids this stupid?
Why do you think they're so easy to trick?
I dind't came here to feel.
But I did it anyway ;_;
>streaming on a phone
There's been some nice fanart recently.
>Finish volume 5
>Well that was a nice ending
>There are 2 more volumes untranslated
How is this forced shit not dead?
Holy shit, Sensei's expression is that of a person who has dealt with this kind of shit for far too long.
Oh well, now that's a real kid.
Little fluffy girls eat okonomyaki.
I want to wake up to this beside me every day
Oh, she'll give him much more in the future.
Megane braids a cute.
I'm not the only one right?
But Shino is pure, she would never go after a teacher.
adhesive medical strip
Kotori is a bijin!
He had his wife do it for him.
Some people just get by on those premade meals, guy is a teacher so I would assume he doesn't have the time to cook, unlike a NEET like me.
Him being absolutely horrendous is probably done for the sake of the narrative, although I wouldn't be surprised if adults with no kitchen experience existed.
it was all good but I didn't like how Tsumugi's thing at school went into the restaurant scene. I just don't get how at her age she would be self aware and ask if she's a bad girl when there was no one except the boy who called her a thief.
I should probably have said that he's too lazy to cook.
Some people really can't be bothered to cook, and instead just want to put some shit in the microwave oven and be content with mediocrity.
It's kind of like personal fitness, it only takes like a 30 minute jog to stay reasonably fit, but most people are too lazy.
Are you using mangafox or something
>Glasses ruin everything.
You're right about that.
>But she's already shit so who cares.
I want to kill this fucking cunt.
Does all of this loving fathering turn Kotori on? I imagine it would and that each cooking adventure leaves her super horny.
Her dad is introduced later on and he is incredibly stoic. He is also absent a lot for reasons not explained but based on the fact he and her mother split I am guessing they are not on great terms.
In short, yes she has a father complex.
When something happens and you react
This show is too emotional god damn it.
Single dad's have it so hard.
I need more of the mom.
Little boys across the country must masturbate to her when she's on.
Put this fucking kid into an interment camp.
The little fucking bastard deserves to be orphaned little piece of shit
He's a liability for the mom. You have to use it to blackmail her for sex. You don't want to cum inside those big curls? She's willing to suck dick for forgiveness, and her husband probably isn't giving her any at home.
>when you bring home a strange yokai instead of your daughter.
Kids can be really sensitive to perceived unfairness and even slight injustice, some more than others. Some can fume for an entire day about something like a teacher giving them an unwarranted time-out.
My younger brother in kindergarten was the same way. If he witnessed something unfair he'd get really stubborn and cranky even if it wasn't necessarily towards him.
How do you even end up with a fried egg that looks that shriveled? Tell me they're quail eggs or something.
Kotori feeling threatened by the competition.

I have a phobia about getting cut on my fingers. I cringe in fear watching this sometimes.
Ep 2 where he was cutting that bread in his hands! Use the
because you know deep down in your subconscious, that you can never hold her in your arms, tell her everything's going to be alright and that you love her no matter what. and and dry her tear.
Family drama always gets to me.
>tfw no daughteru
It's kind of vague in the manga. I think she values him more like a parental figure/close friend at this point. Another girl tried to force her to admit her romantic feelings but she told her off.
Why are Tsugumi's suspenders so happy?
God damn it!!!
It seems that many adults are incapable of cooking these days. I don't know how it is in Japan, but in the US there are tons of people who literally never cook their own meals; they either buy completely pre-made microwaveable stuff or just eat out for every meal. My two roommates (21 and 22 years old) are the latter.
It's absolutely disgusting and a large part of how people can live paycheck to paycheck despite making decent money.
What's even worse is that some seem to take pride in their complete lack of skill.
how many babies are they going to make?
I can see the ending now
in a twist the Dad is actually dying.
Teenager stays with him
Keeps cooking and cleaning
Finally the day comes and he leaves her as the guardian of Tsumugi
He passes on with his two daughters in tears beside his bed
She admits that she probably did have a bit of a crush after they started cooking together, but now it's changed to the point where she likes both of them enough to not want to complicate anything.
That's great and all but that is a very well maintained knife. The knife in the show was cutting like it was in dire need of an oilstoning.
I'm amazed he didn't figure to just lever the knife rather than trying to push through with that blunt piece of shit.
>Bratty shota being a little shit
What's next? Ojou bitch loli bragging about a present she got from her parents?
>Japanese in charge of cooking
Whats with Japs putting a fucking egg on top of everything?
Some of you people are emotionally stunted, I can tell.
Since someone already posted the smile webm, I guess I'll just have to post these two.
someone just marry her dammit.
First off, no, I didn't talk about flasses of tits and ass, but little yet delicate and cute, slightly hot cloth outlines on the girls, with some nice butt shots.
Second, you can't really go and say that there are other anime around that does it, because surprise surprise no anime actually does child fanservice. It's a shame they can't even do that little piece that the manga has for a change.
I'm 28 and it wasn't until last year I even learned the basics of cooking actual raw un-precooked food outside of a microwve. Why? Never really needed too.
Of course even know I'm still pretty low level but it's way nicer cooking meat and shit then buying the garbage they have at restaurants that aren't way overpriced.
Man, being a single father is hard
This show makes me get a feeling so complicated. It's not even particularly sad but I feel for all the characters and their shitty situations
I used to have a daughter, this show is torture to watch, but I watch it because she reminds me of mine, my heart hurts, but I want to feel that feel again.
The doujins just write themselves.
What a terrible daycare lady. She can;t watch the kids if her eyes are closed.
>she sees your dick
This show makes me feel so warm and happy.
>touch the fluff
What did he mean by this?
If she loves bread so much, why doesn't she also learn how to bake?
Also, which is more difficult overall, cooking or baking?
In a later issue, she comes back from taping another show, and she's wearing a blazer. I don't know why they keep dressing her up like a high schooler. Is this shit common in Japan?
Not to imply I wouldn't hit that, mind you.
Inazuma has never expressed any interest, though. I figure he's too busy grieving over his dead wife/being overwhelmed with caring for Tsumogu to even think about dipping his wick.
So this is basically a cooking show, right? At least half of every episode is going to be spent in the kitchen?
What's up /a/tards I'm a professional cook. I went to culinary school, have worked in the restaurant industry in SoCal for near on a decade now. Mostly fancy gastropub-type shit, a brief stint in white-tablecloth, and some institutional and fast-service when I was just starting out.
I really like Sweetness and Lightning because the core of the story is about using cooking as a means to communicate your affection towards the people you care about, and that's what got me into cooking in the first place.
Kohei is holding the knife wrong pretty much every time, though. This triggers me.
>Also, which is more difficult overall, cooking or baking?
It depends on who you ask. Cooking has a LOT of variables that are difficult to isolate, so people tend to manage it more on "feel." Backing is highly procedural and precise. If you follow the process correctly, you achieve the intended result (bread, or whatever). This is fine, but when it fucks up, you don't necessarily know why or what part of the procedure you fucked up on. That can be really frustrating.
I've known more than a few professional cooks and even chefs who cannot into baking, and find the higher-level stuff intimidating. Likewise I've known professional bakers and pastry chefs who don't really go beyond the basics as far as cookery goes.
You have to have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to be able to understand the ingredients and the processes at work in either baking or cooking. Doing it all is out of a lot of people's range, so they tend to specify in one or the other. Generally cooks/chefs tend to be more improvisational, and bakers/patissiers tend to come at it with more of an engineer's mindset.
Best pair when?
I just realized who the kindergarten teacher reminds me of.
I made croquettes for family meal at work today. Came out okay, but I have some stuff is like to do different next time.
The recipes in Sweetness and Lightning are mostly foundational Japanese items. They're very basic in terms of technique, but they're out of my Euro-centric wheelhouse in terms of ingredients. I don't work with burdock or lotus root very often, for example. I've eaten it once or twice, but don't know much about it.
I was pleased to see them make oyako-don, which I first tried because it has a rep as one of those menu items that white people are too pussy to eat. That issue is also REALLY heavy on the dead parent feels for me, but not the worst one.
What a great show. Can't wait for Helldevice to make a doujin out of it.
I want to cook for her.
Ok, this was a little ridiculous. It's not like she was going to die if she didn't eat a good meal.
>sensei will never give anyone the dick
I like the cooking part most, the school talk with the student and bit on her life felt dragged on.
shes really cute with glasses and braided hair
Mom looks like a slut
Why are little boys so shit?
All little kids are selfish pieces of shit.
Little girls just get away with it more because they are cute.
Boys are shits when they're children, but mellow a bit as they age.
With girls it's the opposite. They are a miracle of the universe until around 12-13, then they become demons from Hell.
I honestly forgot did she cut her finger in the first episode?
The black haired girl is cute
I'm shipping them hard
Reminds me of this:
Warning: not for those who get anxious easily
Fucking dishonorabru this new generation.
I'm gonna report you to the FBI.
Well, it's still fucking wrong according to Japanese law.
Wait until she's like 13 or something.
She's first of all using a blunt knife, she should be using a sharp kitchen knife.
Secondly, the chopped onion slices have no consistency in terms of size.
Thirdly, her grip is extremely bad, and she's bound to cut herself if she holds the onion like that.
I bet there's more, but those where the worst offenders before I stopped watching.
Dicing an onion as shown in the anime is much safer, quicker and better.
It's an 11 year old who's voicing her actually.
This is all correct. For me the most triggering thing is the haphazard way she cuts all of her vegetables. She just kind of goes hog wild on it with no real procedure in mind.
Here's a video of Jacques Pepin cutting an onion. Look at that old French dude going to town on that fucking thing!
A lot of Anons are freaking out about Kohei cutting towards himself, but that's a pretty typical way to cut an onion. The real danger is the poor grip he's using and the likelihood that the knife is dull.
