I must say, not show for everyone but with saying that, it's a 99.9% must watch.

I agree, most people skip 25/26 mainly because it's just a documentary for Shinji's mental illness and the human instrumentality thing.

But desu it's pretty important to watch to understand Shinji and Asuka's history.

Congratulations, hope you watched the BD release, because it is much better looking than the Platinum.
Despite having even more faggots then /a/, evageeks is still the most comprehensive site for everything Eva, the wiki is good enough (but don't assume it's the Bible).
If you want to experience Sadamoto's take on the series, read the manga (with the exception of the bonus chapter). It follows the anime closely, except for the finale, which is pretty retarded.
Then dive into the rebuild movies, but don't expect the greatness of TV+EoE.
