This has to be the worst executed YGO show yet. Zexal started out bad but got better near the end. 5Ds had the sex cult shit as an excuse. GX got better near the end. DM adapted its canon stuff decently and did a great job with the final duel.

But this show keeps tumbling down after a promising start and it doesn't look like it will permanently improve and worst of all it has no legit excuses. NAS fucked up picking this staff.

The plot also moves erratically. It's incredibly sluggish at times when it doesn't need to be and then incredibly fast when it doesn't need to be. The main plot is still a mystery that won't get explored until the end either. They really shouldn't have tried to have an overarching plot if this was how they were going to handle it.

That's another problem, but pacing issues is something I just kind of expect from Yugioh. Although I do agree that it drags its feet and suddenly runs through like it's hair is on fire for no clear reason.
