Yeah, I meant, by the time he had chosen to make Latifa a love interest the author had realised he hadn't developed her fully, and her blindness is a hindrance to that development. So, now he has to stretch the story, have Kanie find a way to cure her blindness (he's already helped Biino with her curse, so this isn't too far-fetched), and have Latifa get more development both as a character and in terms of her relationship with Kanie - the scene in volume 6 being a very good start.

I'm hoping though, this doesn't devolve into a shitty love triangle, but make it so that the sole fact of being with Latifa gives "access" to all the girls in Amaburi.
