I can connect the dots. In my first post I mentioned how it seemed obvious and implied. But then, the fact that it warrants questions or discussion at all means that their entire 30 second introduction is an utter failure and a waste of screentime since it's not actually clarifying the situation at all.

Again, look at it from a different perspective. Why would it not be clarified? What benefit does the show gain? Either get rid of the 30 second introduction, or have it actually be clear and concise and accomplish what it's clearly designed to do.

I've already proposed one possible solutions, where it says "assembled from the different worlds." Another solution would to be adding pictures of the girls specifically from the worlds when it's mentioning the actual worlds. Except if the goal was the challenge to the viewers to use their brain they wouldn't have bothered with an introduction at all. The purpose of the introduction is to tell, not show. I would argue you're giving this show way too much credit in saying they're trying to challenge anybody. I would argue that this show is relying on the premise of girls from around the world(s) fighting CGI monsters being so common that they can just rely on otaku doing the writing for them and filling out in their head what they're too lazy to put on screen as well as relying on previous knowledge of the source material to understand what's actually happening.

In no other show, take strike witches or QC as basic examples, do you see where people come from ever being left to question. The directors find it obvious that they would mention that.

There's mundane Earth, and 4 other worlds each with their own focus, magic(black magic?), gods, technology, etc. And the girls with powers are gathered at the island to fight off the aliens.

Now, the team has someone that uses blood magic, an angel, a cyborg of sorts, etc.
Its not like they all use the same fucking weapons so you can't guess where they come from, they use their own distinct style of fighting involving the use of the aspects the different worlds focus on. The angels and cyborgs are even distinctly not your regular humans physically.

The hints are there, and its not like where they come from is relevant to the plot as far as we know so far, they do not need to waste time on telling the viewers something anyone could realise if they just use their brains a little and connect the dots.

I am actually baffled that they did this. Not because of the edgy twist since that's sort of obligatory nowadays but just the utter scale of it. This wasn't just the usual one of the characters 'die' for shock value or anything small time like that, their entire base which was pretty much confirmed to be the bastion of defense for all the worlds as well as the entire elite team got fucking wrecked.

A no bullshit zerg rush that probably destroyed a majority, there's probably a few pockets of survivors aside from them, of the island. During the fucking second episode no less and now our team of fucking useless scrubs, who have no alpha drivers mind you, are left in this miserable scenario.

It's like if the neuroi actually won or if the entire KanColle fleet got sunk or if fucking every generic CG alien baddie suddenly just went nightmare mode on everybody's asses.
I don't know how to feel about this shit in my supposedly silly monster of the week mobage adaptation. Shit's absurd.
