Just rewatched it last week. I blame yurifags for pushing all girl SoL series so hard and ignoring everything else. I'll never fucking understand why Non Non Biyori is treated like the pinnacle of the genre these days.

That show was watched and discussed a lot all the way through the end, hyped as fuck after the stellar first episode, dropped en masse halfway through when its flaws were becoming more and more obvious, and ultimately being considered one of the worst shows of its season when it ended.

It's written by the same guy as Tatami Galaxy so it surprises me that it's so underexposed. And while the direction is not quite Yuasa tier, it's still a beautifully executed series with great art, OST and an interesting story.
