Art direction, animation, music, opening, ending are all top notch, one of the best in a couple of years.
The comedic timing is a bit off, it was better in the manga, but then again it might simply be because I've reread it a couple of times.

Yes they can, ONE tends to drag thing out a little bit too much, but since it's in manga form it' works, but in anime it would be a problem.
Honestly it's a great adaptation overall and we didn't even see more than ten episodes, stop exaggerating.

Not the same Anon, but I don't think Psycho Helmet is Dimple. I think all the stuff with Dimple, like him saying "My era," consuming all the prayer energy, et cetera, is just a red herring to make the reader believe Psycho Helmet is him. Also, I really want to Dimple to not revert back to being an evil spirit.
One other thing is that the Urban Legends arc revealed that if enough people believe in a thing, it'll become real. With how large the Psycho Helmet Cult is, I believe the leader was created because of their prayers.
Also, I'd vacuum suck Mob. Teru, however, canonically has acne on his butt, and that's gross.

Like you said, the story does point in the direction of Psycho Helmet being Dimple, but I really hope ONE is just rusing us, since I really like Dimple. Maybe Psycho Helmet is like Kuchisake-onna, in that he's made from people's beliefs, but enhanced by the power from the broccoli.

This is a good point, I forgot about the urban legends stuff. In retrospect it seemed odd that ONE spent so much time with that part of the manga since it seemed irrelevant to most of the rest of it, but if it pays off like this it's pretty good storytelling. That's honestly probably what it is, the broccoli is sentient now thanks to everyone's prayers.

Dimple clearly has grown a lot, he does a lot for the sake of Mob now, especially with Mob trusting him enough to let him control his body. He showed flashes of still wanting to run with Mob's power and become the god he wants to be, but always got stopped by Reigen or his own conscience.
It'd be pretty heartbreaking for Dimple to go through with it all after this. ONE did a really good job of introducing an annoying, conniving, sneaking character and then making everyone like him.

We know this season will go up through the 7th Branch arc but stop after that. I imagine a second cour would include Mogami, Reigen, and the Claw HQ. I can't see them finishing there (since nobody really knows if or when ONE is planning on ending the series with the Sacred Tree, he could even do another fuckhuge chapter like 90) so I think they would end it with the Claw HQ ending and growth of the tree. And then possibly doing an OVA or another cour if there's enough material for it.
We really have to wait a bit I guess to see the pacing in the anime. There's a lot of smaller arcs that are pretty important for character development (like the one with the ghost family that Mob refuses to exorcise and Reigen backs him up) so they will probably need to be included

As a celebration I decided to re-read the manga up until now as a refresher for the anime. I completely forgot that a lot of the stuff they grabbed for the first episode happens relatively late in the manga. Ive seen scenes from volume three and a tone of stuff from volume 7 and 8. This makes me think that they really want to get to the mogami arc. The first episode scenes with the school are mirrored well in this arc. I really like how the director is framing this story with some establishing stuff that happens later. A lot of events in this manga in terms of side stories can be shuffled around as they only need to exist to tell the story of the greater whole and not necessarily exist in the timeline that the manga built.

This makes sense, they've already started shuffling around some of the side arcs (the biker story happens in Chapter 9, after Dimple's arc) and the crossdressing story is way later in the manga. I assume it wants to get some of these things going to frame Mob's state of mind before we go into bigger arcs like Ritsu and 7th Branch.
They almost certainly won't get to Mogami now but considering how important it is they're definitely going to set up for it. Putting the broccoli in at all is a good indicator they're going to try and frame it for the long haul.
