That was even the thing, I LIKE both of them, even before I could tell them apart. But for the longest time I only remembered that two pointed tail and not the differences in location or their bangs or that Kaga (sometimes) has a mole.

Eventually I saw them on a page together and just stared for a bit until I figured it out. And even then I still got them confused on occasion.

You know what actually bothers me most about the ending?

That he divorces and marries one of them every single day.

Like, I understand the situation and what he is doing. It just doesn't make sense to me to bother with such legal nonsense when the marriage is clearly an emotional/spiritual one. Any actual legal benefits of spousehood typically wouldn't be helpful for a bodyhopper. To actually bother to fill out the forms not only seems like something that shouldn't matter, but also just draws attention to your odd situation.
