I doubt that this won't tie into the main plot given EVERYTHING has so far even when it seemed like filler. This is probably just more lighthearted after the heavy stuff we got in the last 9 months. Plus Araki seemed to be rushing it along last chapter and he didn't want SBR to be as long as it was, so even though this looks like a lighthearted chapter it'll still have some overall tie in to the main plot.

I meant as in how quick he resolved it and how leaving Vitamin C's range magically heals all the wounds Damo inflicted. It flowed well from the previous chapter but in one panel we see Josuke standing there with his liver missing and blood everywhere and you turn the page and he's strolling towards the door perfectly fine and his clothes magically clean. The way it flowed from the last chapter and how the second half with Kaato went was good but you could tell he was trying to move the Damo plot along considering it's been 9 months.

The first fight with Wamuu wasn't really an asspull.
Joseph was showing off a new weapon, which only had one relatively minor thing Wamuu didn't expect. After that he was hurt by Wamuu's attack and the rest of the 'fight' was purely him bluffing his way out of being killed then and there, he didn't even make any other attacks.

And the ice shit wasn't at all unprecedented, considering that Jonathan and Zeppeli had used a similar technique to stick leaves together. Hamon's pretty shit though, yeah.

I liked how he was less kill-happy than Johnny was. And he didn't particularly give a shit about Johnny himself, either, it was Johnny who was more strung up on him. Johnny never balked at the idea of killing anyone who stood in his way, and planned on killing Diego to steal his corpse-part, but Diego's first plan was nearly always to incapacitate rather than murder.

Those guards were probably pretty pissed and disoriented about being turned into dinosaurs, but Scary Monsters isn't permanent, they would've been okay. It was sweet how he genuinely seemed to care about his dinos too, he was very upset when Valentine 'treated them like garbage.'

She's really, really not. Jolyne doesn't have issues with speaking her mind or showing her emotions, and she's far more likely to joke around with her friends (or show them concern, too) than Jotaro ever was.

I started as an animeonly fag and have now read up to part 5.

I feel like I enjoy JoJo disproportionately more than other shows I've seen. Feels like the anime I've watched does not have the same type of over the top yet self aware ridiculousness that JoJo has as well as fights that involve strategy and cunning as opposed to brute force or extreme gore.

Can anyone recommend shows/manga that one would like if they also like JoJo? I know this is very subjective and there are a million factors but I've very open.

Rumour is Araki wanted to keep writing JJBA but his editors thought 6 was a good place to end it and Araki himself was tired of linking everything back to Jonathan and DIO and wanted to write a period piece, so instead of trying to force it into canon he just decided to make a new canon and not tell his editors that he was basically recycling Stand and other concepts. After putting up with his shit for half a year they moved him to a different publication where he had more freedom so they wouldn't have to deal with him and Araki got what he wanted out of it.

That's never been confirmed but we'll probably never know why he started a new series that was the exact same thing.

Just my opinion. Eight isn't finished so I don't think it's fair to judge it compared to completed works.

HxH is the colosest in terms of other shonen series but it's more like those formulaic series but does iinteresting stuff with it. The way power levels in the Chimera Ant arc are handled is pretty cool, instead of just being an excuse for training filler it becomes and actual plot factor regarding why no one can attack this one guy head on and the scenarios that result are pretty cool. HxH has a slow start but when it gets good it's very good. Also it's power system is similar to Stands but more structured since it's a martial art kind of and less just 'what the fuck' like Stands. I'm also reading Dorohedoro at the moment which is really fucking weird but also quite gory but in a similar self aware manner to JJBA. I haven't finished it yet but I've enjoyed it so far. Despite how gritty it seems there's been heaps of retarded but entertaining shit like baseball games so far. It's also written by a woman and I feel like she might be a lesbian given how much she sexualises her female characters. I'd recommend both desu.
