I'm just saying that ONE, while not very good at anatomy and solid drawing, is very good at other things like composition, atmospheric use of lighting, dramatic camera angles and paneling and a lot of his drawings are just straight up inventive and fun. He just has trouble making his stuff obviously "good" in a more traditional sense so the animators are giving it more solidity in that regard.

He's also good at picking up animator aesthetics. Like for example look at the Kanada effects on this page. ONE follows post-Eva Gainax/Trigger people on Twitter so you can tell where some of his influences come from.

Though of course retards outside of 4chan are still saying the anime looks like shit and "you watch it for the writing".

My feeling is that you need to have things be suitable to each other for the medium its in. So like Kabeneri which is very visually appealing but has annoying parts to its story that don't really match the tone of the rest of the series(biba) I would say the art was greater than the story and that lessened the overall quality of the work.
Great story is a result of great art and music working together with a the plot to achieve emotional affect. Story can never trump that in a visual medium.

That's because there were quite a lot of people excited for Mob anime and called it AOTS before it even aired myself included, this and amaama to inazuma are the only AOTS contenders.
So people, (mostly re:zero fags because they actually think that edgy isekai shit is anywhere good) expected something from Mob's first episode that it doesn't actually offer in the first place.
This episode just introduces the characters with a couple of gags it's not supposed to be more than that.

The main issue most have with it is its length and the infamous endless chapter 90. Many aspects of it were really awesome if you look at them separately, but because they were all tied in one arc, you kinda lost sight of what to focus on.

OPM is a comedy, and is drawn, written, and paneled to read like one, on top of being a literal throwaway side project done for fun and for free, or it was until it became mega popular.

If you want a more serious looking action manga then just read the Murata adaptation, because he handily flips the formula to make it an outright action manga with comedic elements, instead of the opposite which is what the ONE version is.

I really can't wrap my head around why people want ONE works to look more industry standard, when the quality is largely derived from it's wholly unique presentation and perspective.

It's not on par with the previous arcs, people had way higher expectations for the "finale" with claw. I wasn't a big fan of the manga but the anime seems really nice so far.
My only two complaints would be Reigen being a little too hyper compared to how I imagined him and the flashy animation being too crazy at points (namely the tunnel spirit)
I mean I like the colors and their depiction of psychic powers but if every episode turns out to be this explosion of colors it'll get tiring after a while.

Wasn't a big fan of the manga but this feels like one of those adaptations with the potential to transcend the original. I feel like Tachikawa and co. really "get" One's work. The dissonant colours and wild animation add so much to the original aesthetic. The whole thing just exudes creativity.
