Gjallarhorn presumably is still around as a sort of shared military force but the 4 power blocs are now forming their own independent militaries and you can bet there is going to be some sort of struggle between them.

Kudelia's greasy fat supporter is working with Teiwaz to profit off this arms build up with the sale of Teiwaz's Hyakuren frame to the power blocs.

McGillis has plans to revitalize Gjallarhorn and command it and letting it fall to the wayside in public disgrace isn't in line with that. He's definitely going to do something to build it back up.

There is plenty of seeds of conflict to go around.

If you throw away everything in order for the sake of revenge, fueled by emotion, you're going to accomplish nothing.

As for Gjallerhorn, that is genuinely what happens when you're the only game in town for so long. You're so big that no one can pose a serious threat to you, and you've been around so long that there's little promotion to leadership roles by outsiders. Everything is just nepotism, so you end up with people in charge who are totally disconnected from not just their underlings, but from the reality that other people live in as well.
You don't take threats seriously because obviously nothing can touch you, so when something finally does manage to inflict a wound, your effectiveness drops significantly because everyone's too busy losing their minds over it to actually do something about it.

Agreed.

I still see nothing inherently wrong with Sekai though. He was a jolly good fellow with a strong passion that was introduced to the to him entirely new world of gunpla. And over time grew passionate about and learned how the incorporate his passion for both to fuel both.
But he was also compassionate and hard working yet somewhat too simple minded for his own good a lot of the time. I really feel like most of the Sekai hate just comes from the fact that the Burning Gundam took up way too much focus and ended all the battles way too similarly. Coupled with the girls falling in love with him almost out of nowhere for some reason.
