You can gain more resonance. It's not something static. Rose wasn't born with high resonance, for example.

That part of the story was contrived and a thinnly veiled attempt by Baba to force Rose into the party, and even if you try to use it for Alisha, you've still got the problem of her introduction she was introduced has having very little resonance, and just giving her the ability right off the fly after she gets possessed once would just cheapen it.

FYI, my problem with your headcanon isn't the idea of Alisha joining it's simply the fact that your idea of Alisha armatizing makes no sense.

That's why it could be easily tweaked a bit and it wouldn't affect the plot and lore overall. Instead of having rose gaining more resonance by getting possessed, we would change it to her gaining the resonance just by having been around the tenzoku.

After changing that bit, Alisha gaining more resonance after being with the party for a while would make perfect sense.

Also, one of Sorey's goal is to bring the humans and the tenzoku together, so Alisha gaining more resonance after hanging out with the shepherd and a bunch of tenzoku for a while would be a cool representation of what Sorey hopes to accomplish.

I don't think this discussion will go anywhere since both of you are considering different premises and neither will budge on that.

He considers that the lore and their backstories are done the moment the game is out, and any changes needs to be fully backward compatible. And you believe that the story is something they can freely change, as they own the story in the first place and changes would be very welcome to many people.

I'll just wait to see what the anime will do anyway, even if I prefer them to simply write a better without the possible mess of trying to tie everything with the source in this particular case.

Again remember Sorey is really that strong because he has been around them HIS ENTIRE LIFE just being around them for a few weeks to a month at best isn't at all comparable. The thing about Rose is that while it's contrived it still makes some sense, it took less time for her to get on Sorey's level because her experience was more intense. Your idea is contrived and would also cheapen Sorey's involvement, as it means that just about anybody could be shepard. You didn't make the problem better, to include Alisha you made it worse. The game offered a reasonable way to allow Alisha to see seraphim,but not to armatize, the only reason why it was thrown out was to make way for Rose. It would be better if they just left armatizing a skill unique to Sorey, or just not include it at all, since it also limited the amount of human characters your party could have.

The thing is in the game it's not just not being able to see the seraphs that's the problem, seraphs genuinely don't give a shit. That's the real problem, having Alisha on the team wouldn't help with that. She could be useful in other ways just not that area.

Take a look at Berseria. Everyone and their mother can see the spirits. It's not supposed to be some special shit. Zestiria makes it look more special than it should be to suck at Rose's futa cock, but it's entirely unnecessary.

It would make for a better story if you see a normal human re-gaining the ability to see the spirits after been around the shepherd and the spirits for a while. It's the natural order of the world to being with, and it would be an advance look at what Sorey ultimately hopes to achieve for humanity as a whole.

But I guess our takes on the game are just too different so whatever.

I got Symphonia 1 and 2 in a sale for 6 bucks for them both. I just finished Symphonia and liked it a lot, is 2 even worth starting? I have heard only bad things.
