Which series has the best portrayal of supernatural powers?

Single instances? There's quite a few. A lot of manga made me go "wow, that's a cool and fresh ability" maybe once. But on a consistent basis? Probably JoJo.
I really like Gash' spellsystem.
The fact that there's an internal logic for the names for spells that factors in shit like the type of spell and what tier it is.
For once it was pretty cool to see the progression in power.

What manga is best at recycling jokes?
Not supernatural powers, but telekinesis specifically.
I liked how Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer treats it as a blank slate whereupon the characters develop their individual quirks and and applications using the same basic telekinesis ability granted by the rings.

The powerscale in Hamidare is also pretty grounded. With a few exceptions, everyone who's actually strong is so even without their ring powers. They just use it to enhance their abilities

But 90% of the spells are just straight forward damage types. There were only a couple of characters with indirect spell types.

that's late in the series where raidou has ran out of idea about supporting spell and he's all like fuck it make making them all offensive type.

What?
There was a lot of different types. There were characters that transformed their body, characters who remotely controlled objects, characters that could only use support spells, characters that buffed themselves, characters that manipulated space, characters that used illusions etc. etc.
It's mostly the minor side-characters with little screen-time that solely utilize generic attack spells.

That's not really true, and even if it were, it would make sense that support characters would have slim chances of still being around lategame.
For all the shit it receives, I still think that Medaka Box has some of the most interesting powers in a manga.
The idea of characters' abnormality as the source of their powers is such a cool idea in and of itself

I wouldn't even describe this guy as support. He's just a baffle/dazzle type.

>starts out as a comedy manga about a weird girl striving to be a perfect class prez trough a suggestion box
>devolves into a battle manga in a flash
The only Medaka box in the manga after that is Medaka's pussy and the only character that makes it worth reading is Kamogawa.

Honestly, it was pretty shitty as a gag manga.
It only really became good after it went full-on Nisio.

The image wasn't really tied to the point I was making.
If I were going to post a support character I would have chosen that monkey-rabbit thing instead.
