I think one of the main reasons for this not being a game is that they wanted the Mirai-hen and Zetsubou-hen stories more or less parallel (because they'll probably spoil plot-twists otherwise). So they'd either have to switch between the two stories constantly, breaking up the flow of the game, or they'd have to put one story after the other, causing one story to be spoilt.
Making it an anime with one episode of each story airing every week is a much better choice.

It's a game of Werewolf/Mafia.

The FF is "town/village" and the FF traitor is "mafia/werewolf". This person will kill a FF member after a certain amount of time when the bracelets knock everyone out. The goal is to find this traitor and stop/kill them before they kill someone else. In the meantime, they'll be suspecting each other of being the traitor and will most likely start killing the wrong people aka basically an all out killing game. Oh and the NG Codes aka bracelets have rules on them that if they break them, they die instantly.
