I would say it's still the Aria the Origination is still the best.

When you look back at it, Aria the Animation is a bit better than the Natural. But the Origination is the one that cement Aria's position as we know it today.

There are many other good SOL. NNB and Flying Witch are arguably better than The Animation and The Natural. At the end of the day nothing come close to The Origination though.

Natural was my favorite season, I'm not sure what you're saying here.

Besides Aria is Aria, who cares about seasons? They're all from the same source material which is the manga. Reason it was cut that way is because of how seasons work in Japanese (aka by cours). It's like saying Clannad and Clannad After Story are two different things; no they're not, they're from the same Visual Novel. If anything, if you wanted to be picky, you'd say the AS arc only really starts after 10 ep. or so in S2, not on ep. 1.

I went through some Natural episodes when I was low-teens, but couldn't make it till end because I always dozed off. At one point I got so pissed off by the fact that whenever I try to finish one episode I end up dozing off like five times, I rage quit watching it.

Well, the first episode was a bit off, but the second one was great (I didn't really like Cait Sith, but this one was handled well) and the third one was GOD-tier. I was a bit worried they'll somehow ruin the perfect ending and epilogue of Origination, but glad all my fears have been killed in the end.

I'm a big fan of YKK, but it's anime adaptation was kinda lacking.
Non Non Biyori's first season was pretty good, though I feel the second lost some of it's charm.
Sora No Woto only sort of fits the SOL classification, but it's great.
Honestly, I don't really dislike Aria, but I do feel it's somewhat overrated.
Soundtrack is amazing, though, I'll definitely give it that.

On another note. Its sort of implied but mankind in aria is pretty high tier tech wise isnt it. Off the top of my head they have regular interplanetary travel, gravity manipulation, weather manipulation, earth is implied to be post scarcity and im assuming they have the tech to synthesize water. I dont think theres enough underground water to flood mars. And iirc that early animation episode mentioned something about them creating far too much water or something

You've just got to remember that these people have to deal with a shitload of tourists day in, day out. A lot of said tourists will fall into one or more of the above trappings, so the natives might not have as much patience as you'd hope.
