People seem to be saying that Escanor has no chance since Mel is the one who will eventually beat Estarossa, but I'm not so sure about that. If not Estarossa, who in the 10C could possibly serve as a match-up for Escanor? And if not Mel, who else could make for a suitable opponent for Zeldris? Mel also confirmed that the reason his revenge counter did nothing is because he was affected by Estarossa's commandment just like everyone except Escanor just now, meaning Mel clearly hates his brother. For Mel to stand a chance he would have to lose all that hatred somehow. That said, I don't think Escanor will manage to kill Estarossa here, in fact I could see Escanor losing/captured/incapacitated to put the good guys in a worse situation to set up Mel's revival.

On another note, remember before Escanor made an actual on-screen appearance in the manga, how people were afraid whether Suzuki could deliver on making the character (or the Commandments for that matter)? I think he has done a marvelous job so far for pretty much any character. Same with Zaratras, who has been a firework of entertainment when he turned up with a rather surprising personality.
