I was pleasantly surprised by this show because it properly introduced the characters in the first episode. I was ready for it to be like Kekkai Sensen or Dimension W where I was bored to tears in the first episode because they cared more about worldbuilding than introducing the characters and so I had no motivation to keep watching.

It had a good atmosphere and good pacing. It seems to be outside of the most common anime genres, and that earns its own points just for the potential innovation. The first episode didn't guarantee I'll watch it all the way through, but it showed potential and gave me hope.
