Beast Eyes Pendulum Dragon because it can be contact fused and Yuya has alot of beast types. Brave Eyes requires a warrior monster which means you have to have Trump Witch and hellprincess or the soon to be printed Dag Daggerman to be able to use it. Rune Eyes requires a spellcaster which means you have to run Trump Girl in case you don't have a free scale for Trump Witch it doesn't really matter, Vortex shits on all of them because it needs the least set up and does the most work.

Thus, we only had 11 eps in XYZ to take care of the stuff that was already planned for the arc.

He got 3 Fusions in the 3 upgraded Pendulum Dragons, and he'll likely get a FusPend that might or might not be an upgrade of his Fusion monsters.

Well, Selena's actually setup as a subversion since there's constant hints that she's a coddled princess that just wants to be taken seriously.

Obelisk Force is still intimidating in spite of their synchro showing.

I kinda dug how much Isao and Yuya were running around. That's how an action duel should be. BOTH people should be doing action magic not just Yuya. We should just develop Rituals 1st and Pendulums second. Rituals need to be worked on by Konami. At this point, if you're not running an OP Ritual archetype like Nekroz or Gishiki, then Rituals are practically very rare one-offs or even worse (and more commonly) a throw-away summoning method. A summoning method that's just there. Fusions were trash and got worked on by Konami to be able to compete with the other methods. Rituals can do the same by working with their Main Deck status. Ritual unbricking would be the first key step in this.

You've suggested this a billion times. It completely goes around the summoning method. I can see an archetype doing that but not every Ritual going forward.

They haven't really developed fusion. We still don't have any good generic Fusion spell cards. Even Arc-V has everyone still using shitty Poly.
