I think Mikumo must have lost her memory/programming when the windy ruins were destroyed. Perhaps she was inside it. We already know she's very resistant to damage. So, she could have survived if she was somehow encased in it.

There was a line in the last episode, of her noticing how enlivened the sky in her dream was. That was probably the windy temple, and that's the sky the windies are always claiming to have lost 7 years ago.

So, I think Mikumo will eventually leave Walkure, retaking her place as the protoculture priestess or whatever. She might be the final boss. Who knows.
