Just read it because season 2 for the anime is legitimately unlikely seeing as how the manga will probably end before there's enough content for another season.

From the manga, I suggest you read it, but if not go ahead and read the spoilers:
Yoake was actually supposed to get involved in a romantic relationship with Hishiron in her first year. She was also put in the class with the bullied girl on purpose. None of that worked out though.
Yoake was scolded by the management whole way through. For getting too involved, not getting involved enough, etc.
Yoake felt guilty and asked her if she wanted to try again.
She was the regions first experiment, they didn't want it to be a failure so they greenlit it when Yoake requested another year with her.
Also, two subjects together have never been done before, so it would be good for the branch if that worked out.

Man i'm at episode 7 now, the first few episodes were okay, but then it turned into complete garbage

The thing that finally killed it was when MC and red head slut fell down the stairs and woke up 30 minutes later in the school infirmary, but if you're unconscious for more than 2 minutes it's a clear sign of brain damage or some other heavy trauma, and you wouldn't be waking up in a fucking infirmary, you'd be waking up in an ambulance.

I'm so fucking sick of seeing ""writers"" just taking every kind of plot device they can find without even checking if it actually makes sense.

And i'm not talking about just subjectively disliking it, i mean it literally is nonsensical.

The point is that there are better settings out there. If you're going full fantasy you might as well make your setting believable instead of having it rely on some shady organisation which for some reason is allowed to experiment on high school kids, brainwash them, and which for some reason has a drug that makes you look young again but doesn't make big bucks by selling it to rich people who otherwise would make use of plastic surgery.

not a lot in the 20+ chapters that are out after the anime.

Most of those chapters are devoted to Hishiro's first year, and how she failed the first time through ReLIFE. It mostly focused on Ryou's point of view, as he watched her sink like a stone in her ReLIFE while getting destroyed by his bosses for her failure. It is a lot of suffering with a lot of cute moments with An, who basically is the Kohai from heaven.

The only thing else it covers is how Hishiro "suspects" and has "suspected" for a long time that Arata is no.2. She comes right out and asks Ryou about it. Ryou lies and lies and lies his head off some more. He basically tells her "no he's not".

She says she doesn't believe him, and he tells her she's free to ask Arata, but if she's wrong, her 2nd re:life will end on the spot and if she's right Arata's re:LIFE will end on the spot. An and Ryou have a conversation about Hishiro and Arata, and it's revealed that their memories of each other will be erased at the end of the year. Then he introduces Hishiro to her new handler, An.

This actually served to further confuse Hishiro, because she knows reLIFE staff isn't supposed to interact with the subject, yet An has been interacting with Arata a lot. To further throw her into confusion about Arata, Ryou starts to openly hang out with him as well. Even though he's not supposed to interact with Arata much. That said Hishiro seems to be heading toward a success in her 2nd reLIFE

The problem we're getting presented with is Arata oddly enough is starting to regress and is in danger of failing his relife, and the reason is his blooming love for Hishiro. He doesn't want to take advantage of a 17yo girl, nor does he want the social akward Hishiro to have ZERO memories of actual high school life once memory of him is wiped away. So he started to isolate himself away from the class and Hishiro.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the Netflix model this show used for its release. I liked marathoning it as it let me go through the show without getting spoiled but I've grown too fond of weekly discussion of currently airing shows which will never happen for this show. This show is surprisingly good and it sucks that once the threads die down over the course of the season it's possible that people will completely overlook the show.

The main issue is that it is not bad writing. You are just a bad reader/viewer. You have an autistic demand for "factuality". That demand alone is childish and stupid. But, you make it much worse by being a hypocrite. Nothing in your post is factual.

1) Nowhere does it say they were unconscious from trauma.
2) Nowhere does it say that thirty minutes elapsed.
3) Nowhere does it say everything that happened in whatever period of time did pass.
4) Nowhere does it say they suffered a head injury.

You basically invented this idea that they were unconscious for thirty minutes, rather than trying to work out the storytelling device.

What happened: they fell down the stairs, it probably fucking hurt, they may have fainted briefly and been pretty out of it. They were carried to the infirmary, both of them slept for some period of time, and then woke up. Rather than showing us the whole process and giving us an extended period of time with no story relevant information and a long look at two people out of it from an injury, they skip ahead to when they are feeling better. It would be a huge waste of time to show us all of the minutia of the recovering from a bad fall experience.

Sleeping when you are in pain is not uncommon. The explanation that they were both super out of it, half-carried/half-guided to the infirmary, slept off the pain, and then woke up a bit later is entirely logically consistent.

If you want to contradict it, if you want to say it's bad, then you have to show factual information that they even argue what you claim they do (that both of them were "unconscious" for thirty minutes).

You can't possibly find plotholes because details about the company and magic drug is kept as vague as possible, there could be millions of reasons for why things are going the way they are.
