Fucking please, Togami went through a lot of character development in DR1 and was one of the most likeable characters by the end. The reason Twogami was likeable in the first place was because he was written consistently with how post-DR1 Togami would've acted, to make it believable that he was Togami even if it was a red herring.

To be fair, half of the deaths in DR1 wouldn't happen if Togami decided to be the leader at the start. Monokuma had to use cheap trick on chapter 5 to beat the group. But instead, we got an useless leader - Ishimaru

If you really think Togami during the Chapter 2 Trial and Togami after Chapter 4 Trial are exactly the same person, you're pretty thickheaded.

Is he still condescending and prone to harshness? Of course. He's Togami Byakuya. But he's no longer the guy who just locks himself up in the library and tells his classmates to fuck off - he embraces a leadership role and cares about the rest of the misfit group in his own way.
